Ishii/Omega and Shibata/Suzuki are the highlights. YOSHi/SANADA and EVIL/Tanahashi both sound dope too.

Gonna guess Tanahashi vs. Suzuki in the finals with Suzuki going over to set up a rematch with Okada in April.

MAN, Shibata/Suzuki is gonna be awesome. Those two ever hooked up before? As far as the research I did the other day (I wondered the same thing), not yet besides their confrontations in the 8-man tag match at the Togi Makabe 20th Anniversary show where they just beat the piss out of each other whenever they got their hands on each other. I was salivating at the very idea of a confrontation between them, so I am really looking forward to the one-on-one match.

MAN, Shibata/Suzuki is gonna be awesome. Those two ever hooked up before? Yeah, but they'd been drinking and it was really awkward the next day.

Dave Meltzer already gave the tournament 5.5 stars. Would had been the newly created 6 stars if it happened in the Tokyo Dome. I put money on Omega winning it all and the IWGP heavyweight title probably after the Cali shows.

I can't wait for Suzuki/Shibata. I'll call it now, the final will be Tanahashi vs. Omega, with Omega winning.
EDIT: Even more convinced about that final after watching Kenny's backstage promo after Honor Rising, where he calls Tanahashi an old f***er.

Tana vs Evil, Ishii vs Omega, and SUZUKI VS SHIBATA. I'm in. I also got my tickets to Sakura Genesis last week so I'm really hoping we get a good main event out of this. I'm personally hoping for a Suzuki win.

Looks to be a great tournament. I have Omega winning it all and Sanada being the breakout star of it.

It was before Shibata's exit to go to MMA, though, which isn't unlike Suzuki leaving to form Pancrase in the early 90s, so there's more of a story this time.

So....I WANT Suzuki to win this whole thing, because he's my guy, but...the idea of Shibata winning, then Yujiro winning...just to see what Shibata would do to Yujiro....

So is every show being aired on New Japan World? Looks like the shows on the 11th and 12th will air live in full. The shows on the 13th, 14th, 15th and 17th will not air in full but the tournament matches will be uploaded. The last two shows on the 18th and 19th will air in full, live.

Who's gonna replace Honma? Well, I guess now's as good a time as any to announce it. That's right, I will be Honma's replacement in the New Japan Cup. Get ready for a barnburner against f***ing Tanga Roa.
