This is good news for me because it means I can make more Fat Mac jokes.

Also, no Chavo around to encourage him to do lewd things in the gym.

I haven't seen his indie stuff but I found him dull as dishwater in WWE. Also I must be alone in thinking his theme was an awful wrestling theme. It starts off way too slow. When would the pop be? I think themes need a gong, a shattering of glass, a shrieking guitar chord to signify someone's arrival. Like Rob Conway's excellent theme Drew's is just a bit too slow.

He'll eventually be NXT Champion and rise up again there and head to the main roster to get the push that he truly deserves. Man, see I agree with an earlier comment in this thread. He's the prototype of how an ex-WWE superstar can do well in the indies, come back and be important. This is exactly what I'm sure will happen to Cody Rhodes in 2-3 years. Amazing play.
And nah, I didn't see what the big deal was about him but from what little I've seen of his indie stuff he's got the presence, attitude and just overall look of a future champion. Hopefully his ring-work is what people say it is.

I hope his NXT run goes well, but I always found him super dull, both inside and outside of WWE.

TNA did good by Drew and dude found his stride no doubt. He's an example of when a guy and WWE just need some time apart.

Immediately after he was released he gave an interview and said the following...
whether he made good on being the Biggest wrestler outside of the WWE... he certainly busted his ass trying to be it.
this is absolutely well deserved.
edit: WWE confirmed on facebook that he was re-signed.

Well that makes it crystal clear! Can't wait for the next set of tapings and his re-debut. I assume there will be a best of/dark match show on Wednesday, then new tapings at the end of the week?

I remember people saying his attitude was going to take him places after his release. That he wasn't bitter, he didn't burn any bridges, and that he would do what he said get better and return down the line. I'm glad that came to fruition.

He went back and brought up the british indie scene and then went to TNA and did not take pot shots at WWE but handle his business. It was a running joke he was a kiss ass babyface but he was there best babyface and every week you could see he gave a damn about the show

Came to post this. Drew's theme is A+++ and given NXT's penchant for epic entrances, this could be amazing. Edit! There was also the week they did this, which I think was a timing error but was so great. Either one works.

Why did they include a picture of Liev Schreiber with Seth Rogan?

He is the blueprint of how you leave WWE and make yourself 2x better than what you were. Honestly, Drew has been this good for a while. His longer Superstars matches showed this, and when he got the chance to do even short character work on the main roster, he absolutely shined. There was a six minute match he had with Orton where he showed more character in a tiny amount of time than a lot of guys do in months.
