only nitpick has to do with kayfabe. He's a former main roster IC champ. Unless they mention that he is there to reinvent himself, he should be above NXT. (Again in kayfabe, not in real life)

So, how long till he's back on the bottom of the card on Smackdown and everyone's talking about how bad he sucks again?

Drew really legit did improve in his time away. Yeah, he had that great 2011 Elimination Chamber performance while still in the company, but even now he's better than that. From how he carries himself, to in-ring to his promos, he's been able to play so many different facets of his character on the indies/international circuit over the past three years that it's allowed him to not get stale at all. He's really been everything to everyone, no matter where in the card on what promotion he was positioned.
To be honest, I didn't particularly enjoy his WWE work until 3MB, but his work since 2014 has particularly converted me. His PWG match with Roddy from February 2016 gets kind of lost in the string of incredible PWG matches last year, but it shows what a main event talent he can be even as a falls-count-anywhere brawler, the type of character he never really played anywhere else.
I hope, if they keep the old theme, it gets a touch up. Stronger opening is a necessity. That's what always held Test and (As aforementioned) Rob Conway back in terms of their themes and the Pavlovian response, they would just take so long to get going. It's not a bad *song* but for what they were going with in terms of his character and what it seems they're doing with him today, it would need some retooling.
I enjoy his work though. I wonder if from here on out the in-the-crowd-Wrestlemania-weekend-Takeover becomes an anticipated NXT debut/return spot.

Always loved him, dating back to his "chosen one" days (there weren't a lot of us back then). Knew he had something special, but it took a while for him to come into his own. He showed flashes in his first WWE run - remember that Elimination Chamber performance? Wishing him all the best.

Ok Drew this is your chance
Last time the bullshit with Tiffany and family problems derailed his push.
This guy was introduced by Vince as the future. He was supposed to work a wm match with Undertaker.
This is his last shot to reach his full potential.

I'm glad Mac's back, because that means his theme's very likely back too.

I hope he uses the Drake Hunt version of Broken Dreams. Not as good a song but it sounds a lot more main event.

He is the blueprint of how you leave WWE and make yourself 2x better than what you were. Agreed. Glad to see he's didn't "Damien Sandow" his career.

Says enough that it felt weird to see him listed as McIntyre and not Galloway, I prefer Galloway.
So pleased to see him back

Great to see him back, I was hoping it was only a matter of time, looking forward to seeing what he can do. Just... maybe no more "Chosen one" or 3MB, please?

Drew has always been good, the problem is that his initial overpush did him no favours, and just as he was finding his feet, the incident with Tiffany happened and management lost all faith in him because of macho bull****, so was left to tread water. Hopefully the plan isn't just to have him shine on NXT before returning to the main roster's midcard.
I can't help but think that they signed him primarily to make sure he couldn't be a featured player in any of the televised British promotions though.

Immediately after he was released he gave an interview and said the following... whether he made good on being the Biggest wrestler outside of the WWE... he certainly busted his ass trying to be it. this is absolutely well deserved. edit: WWE confirmed on facebook that he was re-signed. So really he was flat-out saying "I'm only going to TNA to eventually get back to WWE"

Just hope he'd kept Galloway.
Also, I like the term "TNA live" when describing something taped earlier in the day.
