Let me start this off by saying I am not a Roman hater. I like Roman, I don't believe he should be where he is at, but I do like him. But if Roman comes back at beats Braun at Payback, it could hurt Braun going forward. Braun is a monster that should be tearing through people now. His arc is interesting and he could be a huge deal for a long time.
I feel that if Roman beats him at Payback, which is likely, it will hurt Brauns legitimacy as a monster. He should have a long go of it before getting beaten. Just my thoughts though. So what do you guys think? Am I crazy? Will it hurt Braun? Will he become a dancing bigfoot? Will John marry Marsha? SOMEONE TELL ME!!!!!

I'm sure he could bounce back if they gave Roman the W, but Braun has such great momentum right now, that he really should win. Needless to say, Roman probably will.

He'll be coming out to "Somebody Call My Mama" on Main Event by this time next year...
Even though I don't doubt Vince would pull off something this asinine, please tell me this will never happen.

If Roman wins, it's gonna be bad, like the kinda par for the course booking that's destroyed so many sure fire stars already this past decade in the company...

If they were smart, they'd keep BRAUN being booked as a beast and have him fight Lesnar. It's fresh and current monster BRAUN is way different to the guy Brock beat up at the rumble a couple of years back.

They are making him look like a killer so Roman can beat him, because they think that will make the fans cheer Roman more, after the immensely popular superface defeats the big bad monster that all the fans hate, except for the fans in Bizarro World...every week.

If (when) Roman wins, he should at least do so by any means necessary. It should be after an amazing, hard match, by the skin of his teeth, with questionable tactics. WWE is afraid to make him go full heel, but let him be badass tweener anyway.
Just don't give him a basic win, ending with him on his feet, fists in the air like it was any other match.

When did Vince forget that he loves huge guys? BRAUN is bigger than Hulk Hogan at his biggest! C'mon Vince, you love BRAUN! In this instance, by punishing the internet fans, you're only punishing yourself!

I thought Reigns had already beaten Braun at Fastlane?

So, how far along the traditional WWE "Big Guy" arc are we from "Legit menace" to "dancing babyface"?

I definitely think the right course of action at this point is to have Strowman crush Reigns at Payback - use the injury as an excuse if you must - then crush Rollins, crush Ambrose, crush a now-healty Reigns, crush whoever leading up to taking the belt from Lesnar at SummerSlam, then just have him on a warpath to facing Balor at Mania.
But more likely Superman punch, Spear, Big Dog stands tall, we get the Lesnar / Reigns shit no one wants.

If Braun keeps improving at the rate he is, this rumored year long Lesnar run with the Universal belt is going to feel like a waste. Let the old monster give this new monster a rub between now and WrestleMania.

I'm hopeful this is all to make Braun beat Reigns and become a star. What are they supposed to do with Reigns all summer if he beats Braun yet again? He'll be so above the rest of the roster. Twiddle his thumbs until Brock gets back? The better move is a Braun win.
I also love that, if this is indeed all to make Roman look strong, that they think that the way to make Roman accepted in the eyes for fans and smarks is to give them practically a clone of the Hogan vs Bundy storyline from 1986. Like that has any prayer of working.

BRAUN is a potentially-unstoppable force and Roman can bask in the jeers from the crowd.

So, how far along the traditional WWE "Big Guy" arc are we from "Legit menace" to "dancing babyface"? That only really happens to failed monsters. Umaga didn't, Rusev still isn't one Despite everyone claiming he would have been one like 20 times by now. Kozlov, Khali, Brodus and Tensai did... but Kozlov Khali Brodus and Tensai were collectively about as over as a fart in church when they were treated like legitimate menaces.

I want Braun to defeat Roman at Payback, think he should and right now believe he will.
That said, people complained that Braun losing to Roman before (his one loss, or clean loss, right?), "backing down from Undertaker," not being put in a prominent spot at WM and being eliminated unceremoniously from the ARMBAR (or whatever the battle royal is called) all did NOTHING to derail Strowman's momentum and ability to be believably pushed. If so, this thread and others about the monster wouldn't exist. I can point to specific posts that said he was ruined and could never be credible again ... yet here we are.
So, yes, push him to the moon. But I think it's obvious that people overreact to how much 'damage' one or two losses can do.

Umaga would have been champion if he'd managed to stay clean. I have very little doubts there
