That's what happens when you want to go to the rides but TNA only pays you in expired coupons of Golden Skillet. "But Albertoooooo, I wanna go see the Minions!" Oh Christ. Her personal Facebook must be covered with badly Minion memes. U DONT HAV 2 BEE MAD TO WURK HER BUT IT HLPS IF U CANT STAND ME AT MY WRST U DNT DSRVE ME AT MI BST Christ, the guy has a bad temper and now he's a potential murderer. Um, no, slack will not be cut for him. The guy has blown off wrestling dates and appearances (including for charity), screwed over promotions after demanding and getting top billing and/or title runs, badmouthed those same promotions (including the largest promotion on the planet, by the way); and enabled the misconduct of one of women's wrestling's most promising and brightest stars to the point of jeopardizing her career as well. He's also in the middle of a very bitter divorce in which his children are seeing what a POS he is, and he was still married when his relationship with Paige began. He's assaulted people for merely saying hello to Paige, and at least one video where he's seen play-strangling her. As far as I'm concerned, he's a trainwreck who shouldn't be booked by any self-respecting promotion looking to avoid taking a needless financial hit. That's not really a fair thing to include.

When you invoke Benoit, you invoke the act of murder. That's what he did. That's his legacy. Ya can't be all "I'm worried about a Benoit situation" and then be all "oh that has nothing to do with killing his spouse". Unlike Benoit, however, we're watching all of this trainwreck play out before our eyes and, unlike Benoit, we can see that Alberto shouldn't be touched with a ten-foot pole if promotions value their long-term viability. Are we going to have to hide electrical cords and weight-machine cables from Alberto from here on out? Not immediately (and that was my point in response to someone who thought I was suggesting it merely because I invoked the name of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named), but we have a very public meltdown here by a former WWE superstar that may pose a risk to a current one. It's not a guarantee that we'll end up with Benoit 2.0 (as you define it), but the fallout from it, should it come, may be much larger (how I would define "Benoit 2.0"), partly because we all saw the lead-up to it and partly because, if rumours are true, WWE still has a drug problem ten years after that weekend and the subsequent issue surrounding Signature Pharmacy. That's my point. To explain Alberto's behaviour as "bad temper" is the kind of gaslighting BS that diminishes women's ability and willingness to escape domestic violence, and it's an insult to my obviously misguided belief that, ten years later, we might be able to talk reasonably about such issues on this board.

In my opinion, that's his freedom to say whatever the Hell he wants.
As long as he doesn't do it on Impact like Sandow. Cause when I watch the shows, it's a fantasy World and everything outside doesn't matter.
Whatever Patron decides to do, to whom he loves and hates in his private life, it's not of my business.

But Sandow was clearly a character on TV Berto is a dick in real life He can do whatever he wants but it doesn't make sense I rather not see a guy play a character that is clearly fake on TV as compared to this guy is "crazy" in real life and things he has done is not in a fictional context

And at what point has he ever even hinted at assaulting Paige? That's an outrageous jump to make, and completely unfounded and in your own imagination. This board has made several points of warning people about libellous comments, and we are seriously getting to it here with Del Rio. The fact people are now casually calling him a "cokehead" is one thing, but we're now going to start tarnishing him with spousal abuse? Come on.

And at what point has he ever even hinted at assaulting Paige? That's an outrageous jump to make, and completely unfounded and in your own imagination. Um, when he was videotaped play-strangling Paige - who was supposedly due to undergo neck surgery at the time, by the way. Here's a still of that particular scene: An unfair portrayal of the situation? I would like to think that, nine years after Benoit, most wrestlers and others might want to keep that sort of play off camera. Pushing the envelope? It's a funny way to demonstrate that you would never hurt someone, by playing out precisely such a scenario. Maybe you can explain it away and maybe explain it away to the significant women in your life, but if that were my daughter I wouldn't care how much the guy said he loved her - I'd be doing everything I could to kibosh that shit because it shows that he doesn't respect her and doesn't care how it looks. You know what? You're absolutely right, and I'm wrong. Alberto El Patron is the gleaming epitome of professionalism and honourable conduct. WWE is utterly blind to his enormous talent and charisma; and their loss is surely Impact Wrestling's gain. [/s]

Ok, enough bringing up Benoit here. Seriously this is going way too far.

Ok, enough bringing up Benoit here. Seriously this is going way too far. Agreed. Something that has struck me as amazing is how much fan admiration and support both Paige and Patron had just a short time ago. Now over the last year or so since they've been together and acted the way they have and said the things they've said, much of that fan support has just faded away.

They can't force them but they'll appreciate your loyalty if you honor those commitments. That's something I thought Alberto would hold in high standards, given his family history in the business. Nah he and his family don't care about it, his uncle Mil Mascaras is the biggest egomaniac in the history of wrestling. He doesn't like selling moves or losing. f*** I don't think there's footage anywhere of Mil Mascaras getting pinned or losing cleanly. How was he even able to do so? Was he in a position like Triple H or Jeff Jarrett?

I remember Jim Cornette telling a story where Mil Mascaras refused to do a stretcher job when he was leaving a promotion so they got some jobber to wear his mask and do it instead (which he was apparently ok with as long as HE didn't have to do it).

Maybe he was just a traveling attraction like Abdullah the Butcher that would work for a few shows but never staying for long periods. What it is funny is that in tag teams, Mil's brother Dos Caras (Alberto's father) would always end up taking the pin lol. The problem with Mil Mascaras is that beyond losing, he just hated selling, it didn't matter to him if he was working with much bigger opponents. There's a match in Japan were Bruiser Brody had to start punching him for real, and everytime Brody tagged in, Mil exited the ring.

Del Rio is a f***ing idiot as far as i'm concerned. Dude left then came back knowing exactly what he was walking into and then left again and is acting like it was all a big shock that his second run went that way. He knew what he was getting into and he has no sympy from me

Even 90s HBK wouldn't be able to out politic Hogan or Mill. Hell if anything he's a distant third which speaks volumes on Hogan and Mill. Add Gail Kim as the 4th just because she hasn't put anyone over in TNA

I've honestly thought Alberto was a ticking time bomb ever since he assaulted Ninja Turtle Rafy. Someone will likely experience a horrific tragedy when he finally melts down, the only question is who.
