I'm trying to find the right way to word this, but what periods of a wrestler do you not enjoy? Like, not gimmicks as such, but what incarnations? I'll attempt to explain what the hell I'm talking about with my picks;
"Face of America" Kevin Owens: just doesn't work at all. Cheap, go-nowhere heat, lifeless promo's. Terrible. Owens is great but this stuff is garbage.
"New Day Pops" New Day: for me, this was when their already tired schtick made them unwatchable, and was when WWE seemed to give up on them being an actual tag team with a point and purpose and just made them schilling merch machines who would run through their catchphrases every week.
"Suplex City" Brock Lesnar: once this became a catchphrase it was all over for Lesnar for me. Then his matches seemed to be "let's literally count how many German suplexes he does", and Heyman and the commentary team would say "Suplex City" as many times as the fans would chant it. Obnoxious, boring shit.
So, there. Specific time periods you don't like of wrestlers you maybe do like?

I agree with all of those. Suplex City Brock is my most hated.
Also thought WWE champion/Authority bitch Rollins was painfully boring (but that wasn't entirely his fault)

Usos - Roman Reigns' wingmen: Love the team, think they're fantastic workers and right now are absolutely on point. This was just too much for me, they were all over the shows, winning matches they shouldn't be winning and were just tired out. Especially when they didn't even bother to do anything with Jimmy when Jey was injured, it just, their whole schtick was old by then.
I'd also agree with you on "Suplex City" Brock and New Day, though I'm not much of a New Day fan anyway. I don't mind Owens but can get why people don't like it.

I just don't buy into him at all. Matches are great, hell of a talent, but he never had THAT face turn moment to really make me root for him, and something just isn't clicking with me now.

White Rapper John Cena. While his generic hero in multicolored shirts character has had some booking that's tiresome, the character has largely been fine since 2008 or so (blatant Military-pandering John Cena was bad too that's why I'm starting in 2008). But Cena the rapper was so embarrassing and cringeworthy that I could hardly watch the show. And nearly every person I know in real life that kept watching after the Attitude Era ended and is no longer watching today stopped watching in 2005-06 because of how stupid they thought the Cena rap character was. They toughed through the Invasion, the Brand Split, the Reign of Terror - but this goof with his cringeworthy rapping and sloppy ass move set was enough to send these people away for good.

I like Undertaker a lot, but there was a period from around late 1998 to mid 1999 where he was stinking out the joint for almost every PPV match. When I last went back through watching the Attitude Era shows I seriously couldn't believe how terrible he was during that time.

That pairing would have worked a lot better if they (by which I mean all three of them) were heel, and not the sorta tweener but not really thing they actually did.

I keep going back to the Diesel world title reign. While there are hot and cold times for my fandom, these days.... that was the first time I was just plain bored of wrestling, and this was during my time where I still figured it was more real than scripted. These days, I may not be happy for a Roman Reigns championship run, but I know the only thing keeping it going or ending is a booking decision. With Diesel, I couldn't even get invested in thinking a guy was legitimately attempting to fight to retain his title.
That was also a time when cartoon characters seemed to be in abundance, which bored me as well. Max Moon, The Goon, Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, Bastion Booger, Sparky Plugg, The Smoking Gunns, The Bodydonnas, The Godwinns, Aldo Montoya, Avatar, Battle Kat, etc,.... all seemed to be just pulled out of a hat and told to have matches, regardless of if they actually got over or not. It seemed like there were more JTTS than anything else in that era and people were featured in feuds and title matches simply because there was nobody else.
I compare it to a few years prior in WCW when they had Oz, Big Josh, Ranger Ross, etc,... as dumb as those gimmicks were, there was still Sting, Cactus Jack, Vader, Rick Rude, Lex Luger, and Ron Simmons in the main event putting on good matches. But that time in WWF just seemed all-over bad.

But that time in WWF just seemed all-over bad. When I went back and watched the New Generation a few years ago, I actually quite enjoyed it. However, I think that's because I'm now an adult and have been conditioned in the sebsequent years to expect and enjoy long matches. I too remember being "bored" during that era as a kid. I think it's because I started watching wrestling in an era where TV was squash matches and PPVs had 10-14 matches where every guy was over OR was a gimmick show like Survivor Series or Royal Rumble where the action is fast and furious. Then the New Generation hits and Vince is short on talent so his PPVs are still 3 hours but have fewer matches. I remember watching the first In Your House. That show was barely 90 minutes but it felt like an eternity. Even though that show is full of guys I liked as a kid, everything just felt so long when you're raised on shows like Wrestlemania 6 were there are 14 matches on a 3 hour Coliseum Video. As a side note, I can't imagine any kid watching wrestling nowadays. To watch it at all, you have to stay up late and watch boring marathon matches. It was so much better for a kid when you had weekend wrestling in the afternoon that had short shows chock full of matches and interviews.

Main-event Miz. I've never liked the guy but this was far and away the period of his I hated most. His matches sucked, his promos sucked, the storylines sucked...the one good thing to come from this run was the Nas hype video at Mania, and even that was tempered by how godawful the Mania match itself was. Face Miz is a close second but at least then he was only stinking up the midcard.
Authority Goons Kane and Big Show. Show has and continues to be an instant channel-changer for me, but seeing Kane get dragged into that same miasma of suck was really frustrating since I generally like Kane. Combining the two with Rollins' awful droning promos and endless weekly interference/beatdowns was torturous. It was like Evolution without any charisma or intrigue.

Made in the USA Lex Luger. One of the biggest bombs WWE ever had as an ME. Even more glaring in that's just Hogan's gimmick given to "not Hogan". All of Roman Reigns' main event push. See Luger above, except replace "the Animal Batista" with "Hogan".

02 to 03 HHH Boring 20 min promos. Felt like he was in every segment in some way. Always champion even when he was terrible at times because he was hurt. Bad challengers outside of HBK and Booker. Just a boring period that cold been better because the Evolution group was a good idea.
I'm also on the Suplex City Brock. Since this started Brock became lazy and matches been not as exciting. On paper I would been like this should be awesome which all Brock matches have looked. Than knowing how he worked since Suplex City start, it's like here comes another let down. I mean Brock vs. Joe is a dream match of mind but unless we get first year style Brock when he was more MMA style, this match isn't going to be as good as I believe he can and should be.

Srs Jericho was just good at best. I never got why everyone pissed their pants over it. It was an ok gimmick at an awful time period.
JBL Now.
Reign of Terror HHH.
Authority HHH, while we're at it, add The Local Men as well.
The LOL Cena wins era.
Miz WWE Champion.
AJ Lee as Raw GM. (AKA Raw is the AJ Lee show)
Anyone with the king gimmick this decade minus Booker T and Lawler.
Short/brown hair Ziggler. IT'S JUST WRONG!

I never liked Randy Orton but 09 Orton... God those Raws. And then they had the audacity to put out a best of the year in RAW for the first time.
