In threads I mean. We are all super nice to everybody all the time. Building them up. Feeding their cry for attention. Making them just feel goddamn chipper.

I'm a nice guy so I never reply when I think it's out of line. Or ya know, breaks a llot of board rules.

But there are times when I just want to let loose. Be like, stop your bitching and whining. We get it. Things sucks. Life sucks. Your dog sexually assaulted your cat. Whatever.

So yeah. There's my question... have you ever just wanted to let your keyboard say what your brain is thinking.

I had to check my post log to make sure this wasn't me accidentally making a thread.

When I checked and found out I wasn't having an out of body experience, I started to type the reply "this" with the appropriate number of i's for emphasis but my i-key broke.

(See also Notes app on my phone where I actually have occasionally typed something there instead to say what really needs to be said. If I go back and later read the comments in a Rhys Darby voice in my head, it makes it more ironic and less ... well, accurate.

I usually do speak my mind. I find honesty to be the best policy. I don't feel the need to give my opinion on everything. I can just avoid things that are too negative for me. I really miss a lot of what's posted on this site anyway. I just can't go through it all. There's more than enough content to keep me occupied when I'm here. It's easy for me to stick to threads that I enjoy reading.

I've seen some people complain a bit too much at times. I just keep in mind that we don't know who we're interacting with on the internet and they don't know us. Not really. Life can be hard. Harder for some more than others. I'm not here to compare wounds or ask people to patch mine up. I handle my own problems. That said I'll give an encouraging word to someone that's down now and then. It doesn't cost anything to be nice.

Yes, but not in the context that the opening of the thread is talking about.

I mean more so in expressing my opinions. I've seen it far too often online lately, someone expresses an opinion, any opinion, and they get backlash from people. That's why I'm so quiet online, it's not that I don't want to talk to people or post on the forums more, it's just that I'm in constant fear of saying the wrong thing and having everybody turn against me.

And don't even get me started on politics. As somebody who hates talking about politics and is sick of seeing it everywhere, I like the forum rule that says 'no political talk'. That being said, there is a lot of stuff related to politics that has been bugging the hell out of me lately, and it's driving me insane...I can't post about it here, I sure as hell aren't going to post political related stuff on Twitter. As I said, I hate talking politics/political stuff, but there are times when I feel like I need to vent my frustration about it, but I have no outlet to do so.

Anyway, apart from all that, I'm honest about my feelings and as far as I know/remember I've never told a lie online, so yeah.

I actually really dig this place. It's the one place online I can go to get an honest opinion without people being total dickheads about it. And the way I've seen people act in relation to religion and politics on social media...let's just say that's one of the rules I'm most thankful for around here.
