Every day. Young people and youth culture is annoying as hell (but I think that's always been, and always going to be a thing.)
I'm only 29 but I'll never forget at my 7 year old Birthday Party, a friends parent asked me how I felt and I replied "Old. I feel old".

That's me. I'll sometimes jokingly go "I'm an old geezer" when I see things like CNN ads for their Nineties series, but I'm 32 and I still feel like a young man. Similar for me. 33, but might as well be 23. Or 43. I can recognize time passing, but it doesn't really affect the way I feel about myself. The difference between two dates has very little emotional significance to me. Might help that I don't have a lot of childhood nostalgia about general pop culture. I was extremely limited on tv/movies/music I was allowed to consume, and our closest thing to a video game console was an old Atari system that took so long to hook up, it really wasn't worth the effort. So the majority of pop culture that I got to actually experience as it happened, happened after I was already an adult. The only real carry over I have from being a kid was pro wrestling, but even there, I took a hiatus from say, age 17 to 25, so of course anything I remembered happened "that long ago", because it was that long ago I was last watching There's a number of things I feel nostalgic over, but I like to keep up with what's current. I think it's healthy for me to stay adventurous, or at least somewhat curious about the general pulse.

Some of the shows I liked growing up Are now on Nick at Nite Funny you should mention that. In 1997, they simulcasted Tv Land Time Warp which included what was supposedly the ABC Friday Night Lineup from 25 years prior with 1972 commercials (except for ads that were put in by your cable system and satellite provider). If they were to do this today, they would include the TGIF lineup from 1992. I remember watching that when I was a kid.

Listening to an oldies station in the car, DJ said "And here's TOM PETTY with MARY JANE'S LAST DANCE." Song came out in 1993.. On the radio station mom listens to, one of "yesterday's hits" is Bye Bye Bye. I didn't think it was *that* old, lol

I turn 35 in two weeks.
Do I feel old?
When you could be dating a woman is your age and she has a son who is old enough that you feel like he could confidently whoop you ass with his infinite late teenager stamina.
But the thing is I can pass for late 20's due to my face being so youthful when I'm clean shaven. If I was in better shape I would be able to ride that out until I'm 40. And this paragraph alone makes me feel old.

The oldies station used to play Dion and the Belmonts and Fats Domino, now it plays disco. The classic rock station plays stuff when I was a 10 years old like Metallica off the Black album and Nirvana.

I just say Mulan referred to as "this old Disney movie" implying not only that the movie was old but that it was something that people might not be aware of.
IT CAME OUT 19 YEARS AGO. It was released in 1998. Same amount of time before that was the release of movies like Alien, Apocalypse Now, Star Trek TMP, and Rocky II.

I'm back in school. We had to do a group project about radio. One person asked, "Have you guys ever heard of a guy called Howard Stern? My parents used to listen to him all the time. He interviews a bunch of classic rock stars like Bon Jovi and Avril Lavigne..."
she kept talking about another five minutes, but I didn't catch a word. I was trying to figure out in what world or situation Avril Lavigne would be considered classic rock

The one here in Chicago (WCKG) is now the FM feed for the all-new WBBM.

Had it happen yesterday. Was visiting some friends. And had to explain to them what UHF channels are. They are 25ish. But also grew up with cable.
Also had it happen a few years back. Was babysitting my then 10 year old cousin at his great grandpa's place. And the kid could figure out how to get the onscreen guide up. "Jarred there is no on screen guide,Grandpa just has basic cable." He looked at me and asked "Then how do you know what is on and which channel it is on?" Took me a second to realize that since he was born he has always had satellite or digital cable.
I just turned 43 this month, and always have people thinking I am late 20s at the oldest. Hell when my current GF met me she thought I was at the most 3 years older than her, when I am a bit over 11 years older than her.
Years back she had ordered this doll her mother wanted. It arrived and after we opened the packaging I saw the doll was wrapped in plastic and was so white it looked like a corpse. So I said "She's Dead...... Wrapped in Plastic!" She looked at me like I had just taken a dump on the couch. "What you don't get it. Didn't you watch Twin Peaks?" She looked at me laughed and said "I was 7 or so when Twin Peaks aired so no I haven't seen it old man!"

I just had to ask my daughter to put a bandaid on my toe because I couldn't stretch far enough down to reach it.
In my twenties I used to get drunk and kick myself in the forehead to amuse my friends.
Crap, I am getting old.

I can clearly remember the Iranian Hostage crisis, the Carter administration, disco, seeing Star Wars in the theater on its original release and being afraid that when Sky Lab fell to Earth it was going to crash on me. So, yeah

Reading some people say what makes them feel old and realizing I was already beyond the targeted age group for that is making me feel even older.
Thanks for that, guys.
