A guy at work complemented me on how well I drove the forklift. I told him, ""I've been driving forklifts since before you were born." He said, "But I'm 25 years old." "Yup," I replied, "three years longer than you've been alive." I'm 52 years old. I feel it every day. Have you tried to kill anybody with said forklift? If not, we can't sing the song then.

I'm 34, but get mistaken for 25 a good bit, which is nice. They guy I work with is 25, and he gets almost every "obscure" reference I toss out. So there are some good whippersnappers.
But my high school has a football coaching staff all under 35 this year. Two guys graduated with my sister, who turns 30 tomorrow. And the paper referred to the defensive coordinator as the "old man" at 34. We graduated together. I read that and was like, "Awww...f*** off with that."

The realization that next year I'll be serving people in my bar who were born my freshman year of high school.
Also, following Noelle Foley on Instagram.

I feel like that especially when songs I was listening to as a pre-teen or teenager is played during the radio station's Resurrection Weekends, heh.

Someone told me I was a "voice of their childhood" and I nearly lost my marbles. This cannot happen. I'm 29. I'm too young to die.

I recently overheard a group of high school kids discussing how much better Cartoon Network used to be. The shows they were waxing nostalgic about? Chowder and Flapjack!

Honestly, I hope I never, ever feel this way at any point in my life.
The way I see it, I'm never going to stop learning until I'm dead. Hopefully I'll live for quite a while, and there's going to be plenty of things a younger person would be able to learn from me, but there's also plenty of things I'll need to learn from them as the world changes.
I'd much, much rather be Steve Buscemi with a skateboard than someone stuck in my ways.

Like remembering stuff like the Monday Night War was over 20 years ago.

Not wanting to feel like "I don't understand these kids today".

When I reference something (Movie/TV show) I grew up with and someone will say they weren't even born.
Knowing that the Montreal Screwjob is 20 years old this year
Whenever they release a new "Now" compilation, I'm always "Who are these people?"

I recently went to a music festival and the shoes I was wearing were older than a lot of the people there.

The only time I don't feel old is when I run errands early in the morning on weekends because the only other people up doing the same thing are in their eighties.

Everything cracks when I wake up. I've had arthritis in my knees, and my left elbow since I was 11.

I didn't feel old until I starting going to high school graduation parties and the kids were children of my high school friends.

Yup. Every day since I turned 40.
.....though to be fair, when I realized back when I was 29 that I was finally a year from 30 (after a couple years of going "meh! turning 30 won't be so bad") that's probably when it really began.
Although lately, I had an instance where my brother realized he was old when DX turned 20 and then (I think that same week) the Masters of the Universe movie hit 30 and I said the same thing - and it hit us equally that we're finally old (he's 5 yrs younger than me - haha)

If I had a kid just as soon as I graduated college, said hypothetical kid would have just graduated college.

A couple of weeks ago, my friend and I went to an indie show and saw a few hot girls were a part of a sponsor for the indie promotion. The sponsor was a strip club, by the way, and we were able to see that the girls were younger than us. We both felt old in that moment.
