Are we talking "classic" football music or that Kelly Clarkson shit that I don't see how it's supposed to get people hype for a game "Classic", the instrumental NBC plays for every football game that kinda sounds like NFL Films. Great. That's always welcomed

linkDolphins fear Tannehill is done for the year. He never got his partially torn ACL fixed and will need at least 6 to 8 weeks of rest to see if he can play this season but surgery may be the only option.

Surgery should be the option they go with especially if he never got the partially torn ACL fixed. They are playing with fire with their "franchise QB"

It's not the same as Tebow because Kaepernick was still putting up good numbers while Tebow was mostly a mediocre-at-best QB who had a good game here and there and also benefited from an extremely good defense that eventually was able to carry Peyton Manning to two Super Bowls, winning one of them where he could barely throw the ball. And unlike Kaep, Tebow continued to get opportunities and just couldn't cut it whether it's being in the Jets clusterf*** or getting cut from preseason rosters. And to this day, I think if Tebow really was the real deal at QB, he'd still be in the NFL instead of the Mets' publicity stunt to distract from their terrible season. Because there are a lot of openly religious dudes in the NFL and there'd be a lot of people out of jobs if the owners were scared of signing anyone being overly religious. Tebow also got opportunities outside of football, not even counting baseball. He got a gig with ABC and ESPN as an analyst and then got brought into the SEC Network. Because if Tebow is anything, he's charismatic and pretty damn good in front of a camera. Somehow I don't see similar offers being given to Kaepernick. Until Kaepernick, I really did believe that the NFL was entirely meritocratic. You could be the scum of the earth but if you had talent, you could land a job. But the thing that keeps you from getting a job, regardless of talent, is apparently being an outspoken black man that says things that makes white people uncomfortable. It's a combination of both what's happening between the lines and outside of the chalk that is preventing Colin Kaepernick from getting a job. You cannot discuss one without the other. If Colin Kaepernick were good enough, people would put up with his vocal (and, given the Miami incident last season, sometimes misguided) stances. But because the league has largely figured out that Kaepernick is a mediocre-at-best run-first gimmick quarterback who needs a very specific style of offense to suit him, he's not worth the off-field headache that will accompany him. If 2013 Kaepernick, fresh off an incredible run through the postseason and a Super Bowl berth, was taking a knee at the National Anthem and praising dictators, then he'd still have a job in the NFL. Someone would say, "Screw all the baggage, he's worth it." But because it's been five years since he broke onto the scene as a sensation, the league has figured him out and he was so bad that he was benched for Blaine f***ing Gabbert, teams are realizing that why should they shine a bright-ass spotlight on a backup quarterback, the person who is supposed to be one of the most anonymous players on the 53-man roster? If a starting quarterback gets hurt in the regular season and a team needs an emergency starter, I could see Kaepernick getting signed. But other than that, I can't envision teams dealing with the attention and, in some instances, headache that will accompany a guy who is holding a clipboard. That and Kap has taken care of his money well from what I hear. Everyone's got their panties in a bunch over him not having a job. He's not an idiot. Why take a bench warming job when he can sit back on his piles of cash and await the perfect job opening. It's all a bunch of discussion over nothing this offseason.

And then there's Mr. "Everything About Why I'm Not Playing Is Due To Politics & Not My Inconsistency On The Field" himself.

At least Cutler would make every Fin's game somewhat tolerable with a few crazy touchdowns, a pile of stupid interceptions and close up shots of him not giving a single shit I already miss the "photoshop a cigarette lazily hanging from Cutler's mouth" meme

Mr Inconsistency on the field is better than 90% (rough hyperbolic estimate, I can name probably 2 backups in the entire league, and one of them is my team's ) of the backups in the league. Dude was okay with a miserable team last year. I mean, he's a hell of a lot better than Blaine Gabbert, who's employed. But his decent play isn't worth the headache. If he was Harbaugh-good all the time, yes it would be accepted. But he isn't that QB anymore. I get that.

Also, Cutler had one of his best season with Adam Gase as his OC. This move would make some sense for the Dolphins.

The Miami Herald reports Dolphins coach Adam Gase "personally" has reached out to "retired" QB Jay Cutler since Ryan Tannehill suffered a potentially year-ending knee injury.

They almost always don't allow the diva wide receiver to get in the first year so no, last year was not a joke, it was just to show they didn't appreciate his diva attitude.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Dolphins have had discussions with retired QB Jay Cutler about a potential deal.
CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports a second opinion on Joe Flacco's back injury confirmed the ailment is "minor."
