Editing to post exactly what's written in this week's Wrestling Observer:
There was a story 7/17 when GFW had meetings in Nashville and WWE had Raw in the city and some GFW people and WWE people ended up at the same bar later that night. Karen Jarrett came up to Strowman. The belief is that Strowman had no idea who she was, even though it’s not like there are that many woman wrestling fans who look like her. Karen said to him that he was one of her son’s favorite wrestlers and asked for an autograph for her son. I’m not sure what got into Strowman but he was rude, and may have sworn at her (the version I heard had it but that’s from someone far enough away that they didn’t hear the verbiage of what started it but was told he did, but everyone there saw what happened next). It turned into a scene at the bar because Karen immediately cut a major loud promo on him for blowing her off. While she was going off on him, she said how she was going to tell her son’s father about this incident, and her son’s father is Kurt Angle. Strowman did an about face, said he’d sign the autograph and begged her not to tell Kurt or anyone and said he was so sorry. She said she was telling Kurt. He said he’d get on his knees and beg her not to tell Kurt. She said she was still telling him. He did get on his knees in front of a lot of wrestlers from WWE and begged her not to, and she basically said something like now you’re acting like that because you found out that Kurt Angle is the father of her son, but even if he wasn’t, he should have never acted like that to a mother who asked for an autograph for her son, even if it was just another wrestling fan. He did say that’s true and he was sorry. Of course this story will be denied all week by everyone involved

Strowman's taken a few too many trucks to the head recently, he thinks Angle is actually his boss for realsies.

My favorite part of this is that Braun isn't familiar enough with TNA to recognize Karen Jarrett. Smart man.

The following story sounds like it was made up, but according to Dave Meltzer in this week’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it really did happen. On the night of Monday, July 17, people from both WWE and Global Force Wrestling ended up in the same bar in Nashville, Tennessee. People from GFW had meetings in Nashville earlier in the day, while WWE was in the city that night for Raw at the Bridgestone Arena. Karen Jarrett, who works for GFW as an on-air personality running Impact Wrestling, approached Braun Strowman for an autograph since he is one of her son’s favorite wrestlers. Strowman, however, was rude to her. “I’m not sure what got into Strowman but he was rude and may have sworn at her,” Meltzer wrote. “The version I heard had it but that’s from someone far enough away that they didn’t hear the verbiage of what started it but was told he did, but everyone there saw what happened next.” Their encounter quickly turned into a scene as Karen went on a loud rant. While Karen was going off on Strowman, she said that she was going to tell her son’s father about this incident, and her son’s father is Kurt Angle. Strowman did an about face and said he’d give her an autograph. He then begged her not to tell Angle or anyone and said he was sorry. Karen then said she was telling Kurt. He said he’d get on his knees and beg her not to tell Kurt. She said she was still telling him. Strowman got on his knees in front of a bunch of WWE wrestlers and begged her not to. On Karen’s response to Strowman’s begging, Meltzer wrote, “She basically said something like now you’re acting like that because you found out that Kurt Angle is the father of her son, but even if he wasn’t, he should have never acted like that to a mother who asked for an autograph for her son, even if it was just another wrestling fan.” Strowman did say that’s true and he was sorry. “Of course, this story will be denied all week by everyone involved,” Meltzer added. The last line kinda makes me doubt it. Reeks way too much of "It happened! I SWEAR!"

So that was Jason Jordan's mother?

So that was Jason Jordan's mother? Let's not put the misfortune of having Jeff Jarrett as a stepdad on the poor kid.

You had another son with Karen and it was me. But then I found out Jeff was my stepdad and...well, we're good don't worry. I'll just head back to Smackdown. See you!" "...the hell just happened?"

Kurt Angle is so much the man that Braun was on his knees begging this not get back to him. What I took from this is the Kurt Angle is that dude.

I would have rated Raw a 27 if that had happened

“Of course, this story will be denied all week by everyone involved,” Meltzer added. I just rolled my eyes so hard they fell out and are now somewhere on the carpet. Luckily I can touch type! Until this last line, I wouldn't say I believed it, but was considering its veracity. This last line has convinced me that it absolutely didn't happen.

If this really happened... I bet Stroman still has no clue who she was and his begging was his own brand of drunken sarcasm/humor. (It's the sort of thing I'd do, beg for forgiveness in the most over the top way yet still making it look possible)
I could see somebody showing him this story today and he's like "Karen Jarrett from Impact Wrestling? Never heard of either"

It's at a bar, so the only kind-of sense this coudl make is if Braun was just absolutely trashed and is just kind of a weird drunk.

A lot of the times that Meltzer gets info that's wrong or blown out of proportion or twisted around, it's because his sources are feeding him crap. "This was mentioned in the writer's room as an idea nobody took seriously" becomes "This is what they're considering going with" and shit like that. Meltzer doesn't just start shit for the sake of stirring the pot.

You have a point and I know that Big Money Meltz is the most reliable of the dirtsheet writers. I guess I just mean that his saying that kinda shoots his credibility in the foot in this instance - it's not actually an indicator of whether the story is legit, just further proof that the guy talks like an insane person.
