Man this board hates everybody. Smart people tend to have a lot of hate in their hearts. ...wait, what? So because I don't hate Ric Flair, I'm not smart?

Someone mentioned that in the video the comment was pretty tongue in cheek and more of a wink wink moment. That makes sense. My first assumption was that he was drunk again and just randomly bragging. He's shown that he can't let the gimmick go so it wouldn't surprise me.

Man this board hates everybody. Some people dislike a wrestler, others like them, there are very few people who are hated across the board here, the ones that are tend to be your Moolahs, your Invader 1's or your Steve Gatorwolfs.

Ric Flair is so old, in history class they just wrote down what they were doing. Ric Flair is so old that he dodged the Civil War draft to wrestle in Richmond.

Flair is a bigger egomaniac than Hogan.

Aside from how nonsensical the idea that WWE couldn't afford him today is even though he wasn't making nine figures or anything like that, what's the sense in making shitty comments like that about a company that has bailed your ass out on multiple occasions and keeps you on payroll just so you stay out of trouble? Triple H being an NWA fanboy is the only thing keeping Ric out of huge mounds of debt and trouble.

In terms of men who can cut promos like The Rock or Dusty Rhodes you damn right Ric Flair woulf be worth millions (and millions) for a WWE contract at 25. Would Vince pay it to an untested talent?? No chance in hell!

Flair is a bigger egomaniac than Hogan. Nah, I just think it's a similar sub-species of ego-mania. They're both so deep in their "persona" that unfortunately, reality for them is just straight up muddled, because they seem to see everything through the lens of that character. I don't think Terry Bollea or Richard Fliehr exist except on paper. They've straight up become their characters. Of course, that's just me straight talking out of my ass, but it's just an observation I've had.

Remember when Ric Flair first started out and he wanted to be "Ramblin' Ricky Rhodes" - Dusty's nephew?

I was very, very tired when I read the topic title and genuinely thought Flair had gone mad and was talking about breaking into WWE HQ and racking up legal expenses like alimony. I now just have the mental image of Ric Flair woo-ing through Titan Towers and snorting 1980s-sized mountains of cocaine while the Mission Impossible theme plays.
I need sleep.
