If a 25 year old Ric Flair walked into WWE, right now, Charlotte would be freaked the f*** out.

I gotta be honest, I doubt modern WWE would want a 25 year old Ric Flair. He'd be too much of a potential legal liability.

Did I miss something? 25 year old Ric Flair wasn't exactly setting the world on fire. They saw potential, but he didn't really hit his stride until about 27 or 28 and then we all know how his 30s and early 40s were.

26 year old Ric Flair was in a plane crash and suffered injuries that would probably cause him to not get signed by WWE or cleared to wrestle by them at least

Just to put it into perspective, he was 25 circa 1975. Long before the Horsemen era.

If a 25 year old Ric Flair walked into WWE, right now, Charlotte would be freaked the f*** out. And let's be honest here... given Flair's... legacy... there's a high chance that could happen. Just sayin' I believe Ric Flair would have an illegitimate son more than Kurt Angle.

I mean, they got a prime Ric Flair for a pretty solid rate.

Yes, yes they could. The WWE are the only game in town and as such, they set what the top wages are in the sport. Flair may think he'd be worth 60-70 million a year or whatever number, but if Vince won't pay that, he's not getting it anywhere else.
A heel doesn't draw without a quality face, he needs to remember that and give a bit of the credit to the other guy in the match, the guy who kept the promotion rolling between his appearances with the NWA belt. The big gates he drew weren't him and him alone, when he was expected to carry WCW it didn't work.

We already saw what happened the last time you owned part of the company Ric, they started giving Kevin Nash money again.

For someone who's been in the business for over 40 years, Flair has never seemed to grasp the actual concepts of the business. If he came into the field now, he would have no concept of what he was making in 1987, when Crockett was handing him private plane trips and bags of coke every day. He simply wouldn't have that comparison to go by, since his "old self" didn't exist. And if WWE couldn't afford him, then what? He becomes a guy sitting at home waiting for the Ted Turner that never appears to call?
