I enjoyed the period in WCW just before the nWo came in a lot. They had already cut back on the whole "Hogan against the World" crap given that he was out filming movies and we were seeing less and less of the stupid Dungeon of Doom. I started watching WCW again around the time and it was all about Flair and the Horsemen making Macho Man's life a living Hell and it was pretty fun. The mid card was great too.
I mean, if Hogan had left for the movies for good around the time and they would just have fired Hall and Nash but not as invaders, just as new talents to add to the roster, WCW would have improved a lot and maybe they would still exist today. In a way they were slaves the the huge success of the nWo and they kept adding too much guys to the roster, they paid the guys too much and died.
If they kept WCW as it was, the main heels are the Horsemen, Hogan doesn't come back and Nash and Hall are just two new cool talent, WCW would have been pretty cool.
