The Cybertron parts are some of the best parts of the film. Especially if you're a fan of the original cartoon.

These "clowns" are people who understand that the Transformers franchise is completely dependent on tasteless jokes and hot women sticking their butts out at awkward but sexy angles. Deviating from this formula will only lead to ruin for this children's franchise about shape changing alien robots.

Be interesting to see how it does with Aquaman out the same day We just had 2 weekends with no major releases (the Hannah Grace exorcism movie being the only one I can recall), I find it rather odd that 3 major movies will be out that one day the end of next week. I get that people expected Ralph 2 to be huge, which is probably why Mary Poppins is out 12/19, but this past weekend was apparently considered very slow box-office wise and woulda been perfect for either Aquaman or Bumblebee. (With Aquaman's tremendous near-$100mil weekend in China, imagine the glory DC/WB would be reaping in this morning if Aquaman had come out....)

"Starscream and Thundercracker"...or it could be "Starscream and Skywarp" (Skywarp is always getting screwed, it didn't start with him maybe or maybe not being Cyclonus) And Rumble as tall as Soundwave? Has the art been outsourced again?

Cena clearly thrilled to be at the premiere. He was having to concentrate really, really, REALLY hard so as not to instinctively respond with "Fine speech" to the interviewer. As someone who considers 1985-86 their personal golden era of all pop culture and entertainment, seeing Spider-Ham and G1 Shockwave hitting the screen just weeks apart in 2018 brings a tear to my eye.

I had no intentions of seeing this in theaters (no disrespect to it, but there are just so many movies I want to see out now that it just fell to the bottom of the pecking order), but I will be insanely bummed if they finally make a good live-action Transformers movie and it bombs at the box office. I'm just afraid it will send the studio crawling back to Michael Bay.

Given the past quality of them, being the best Transformers film is like being the fastest sloth.
Nothing you really wanna boast about

Nothing you really wanna boast about True enough, but this can stand by itself as a genuinely good movie. Not the "E.T. for the 21st Century" that some critics have claimed it to be, but a damn good movie.
