Can anybody explain to me the logic of Arsenal playing a left-back at centre-back, a right-back at left wing-back, a left-winger at right wing-back, while leaving a centre-back and another left-back on the bench? What's the point of buying a world class striker if you're just going to not play him and bone the defense beyond repair?

Chelsea have agreed a £35 million fee for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal. Surely you're missing a decimal point between the 3 and the 5? Right? Right?

Naby Kieta will move to Liverpool next summer. Transfer fee not public yet but it will break Liverpool's club record. I think it's around the 55 million mark.

On a side note, as a Watford fan I'm really not sure if I want Britons to play for us again. His 'tackle' was straight up assault. It was dangerous and unnecessary and makes me dislike a player who,is sadly, probably our best defender.

I love how the articles talking about Sterling going to Arsenal in exchange for Sanchez have the line 'Sterling is bemused at the idea of going to Arsenal'. If I were him 'bemused' would be an understatement, have you seen the shambles at Arsenal just now?

f***ing international break. The league is a couple of weeks old so what do we need? A week off for f***ing international games.

If I were him 'bemused' would be an understatement, have you seen the shambles at Arsenal just now? Oxlade-Chamberlain basically gone, Gibbs gone, Sanchez and Özil unhappy and in the final year of their contracts, Mustafi being chased by Inter, nine other first team regulars down to two years on their contracts and most of them would hold down places in other clubs at and above Arsenal's level, and very evidently there's no clear idea about potential replacements for any of them. Shambles is a massive understatement. Arsenal are turning into WCW 2000.

With the upset win by the UAE over Saudi Arabia, this leaves the Japan v Australia match as essentially a "win and you're in" scenario.

Pretty much, since Japan and Saudi Arabia play each other on the last day. In the case of a draw, Australia will be guaranteed to at least make the 4th round game. Although since the 1st tiebreaker is goal difference, I think Saudi Arabia and Australia can breathe easy. They're at +6 while UAE is at -2.

Liverpool agree a £4.0m £40m fee for Oxlaide-Chamberlain. Forty f***ing million. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we're splashing the cash but midfield is not an area where Liverpool need many more options. And even if we did, Oxlaide-Chamberlain? I suppose this pretty much confirms Coutinho will be going tomorrow.

Still space for Coutinho unless Lemar gets brought in, in which case I can see Coutinho leaving.
