I put GB2 in the same breath as "Temple Of Doom", Decent movies but just happen to follow a classic film. ToD at least was it's own thing, which is why it's my second favorite Indy flick. LC is good for the dynamic, ending the story strong and tying everything together. KotCS had zero originality and nothing that let it stand on it's own merits.

GB 2 had Janosz who is one of hte most quotable villains in movies.
Also some really superb character designs and puppet work in things like the Scolari brothers.

In GB2 I always loved
Judge: You gotta help me Ray: Don't talk to me talk to my attorney Louis: And that's me! My guys are still under a judicial mistrangement order, that blue thing I got from her! They could be exposing themselves! Venkman: And you don't want us exposing ourselves!
Also I thought GB2 was a lot creepier than the first, especially Janosz's light up eyes

I would say Ghostbusters 2016 was more of a cash grab then Ghostbusters 2. The whole purpose of GB16 was so Sony can have they own cinematic universe after they f*** up their last attempt with the Spider-Man franchise.

GB 2 is a fine film. Nothing wrong with it. No, it sucks. It's the epitome of a sequel cash grab with phone in performances from the actors. All the actors are exactly the same as they were in the first film. No difference in enthusiasm or characterisation at all. As for a cash grab, that's what most movies are made for.

Wait how do people listen to this guys voice for over 40 minutes or that over an hour long star wars review? I tapped out like 3 minutes in. Guy's had some strokes. Don't judge. Really? I looked up him before I posted it and it said He put the voice on because he thought his normal voice was too boring. If he did have some strokes I do kinda feel like an asshole now

If he did have some strokes I do kinda feel like an asshole now I always thought it was a feigned voice kind of taking on the persona of an older film nerd disillusioned by most of today's newer flicks?..At least that's where I get the comedy out of it

Plinkett is just a voice that Mike does.
I personally find the character endearing because he's almost the anti-Youtube reviewer. At least he isn't mugging for the camera, and he knows what he's talking about.

Isn't the character also like a deranged serial killer or something? Like I watched one of the Star Wars prequel reviews for a bit before I lost interest but there was some creepy shit there.

It was when it first started but he's toned it down since then, He'll make the odd remark but it doesn't cut to creepy/sick images anymore.

I actually watched it tonight and it got a couple of small laughs. I will admit I laughed my head off once and that was at Kevin's first logo for the ghostbusters and also Bill Murray flying out the window was good The rest of it? Eh. Way too much CGI and that big action scene at the end just seemed a tad much I will admit though that a big part of the reason I was against it at the start was the cast, not because of their gender (Some of the names I seen mentioned like Emma Stone, Eliza Dushku I really would have liked to see) but because Kristen Wiig especially I didn't find funny, but they actually were alright just badly let down by the script That mostly sums it up for me, as well, and why people continuing the drama over it in some small corners is so insane to me: it's a movie with a couple of chuckles, plenty of flaws, and then there's not much else to discuss. Like I said earlier, it's why I get bad vibes whenever I see an over the top negative take on it beyond "Sucked, didn't like it" - once the rage sets in, all I can wonder is "THIS is what you're choosing to get worked up over?" Just wasn't worth the insanity, not that almost any film would've been worth the pre-release craziness this one had. The whole thing really was just internet commenting at its worst: bunch of mutants go full hate/harassment campaign, number of people get very defensive in the face of said campaign, studio/people involved in the film handle things badly during public appearances, majority of the masses end up just saying "eh, whatever" and wondering what all the craziness was about and why they have people getting pissed at them whatever they thought about it. Like I said, I've got people who won't stop commenting on a a post I made where I basically called the movie a mostly forgettable two star comedy not worth the drama surrounding it, because they feel I'm not hating it enough and that threatens...something?
