I have a very large collection of magic cards since getting into the game back in the mid-90s from way back when Ice Age and Fourth Edition were the main sets. I mostly play with my friends running a cube for drafting. Which you can read about here: oldhammerofbloodnug.blogspot.co.uk/2016/12/magic-gathering-cube.html[/ur]The actual cube I currently use is here www.cubetutor.com/viewcube/54129Wasn't terribly interested in Amonkhet or Hour of Devestation but Ixilan looks cool with the tropical island, pirates and dinosaur theme. Does that site help you with building a cube? I have an idea that I saw in a video and want to try for laughs... a cube of the worst cards in existence. I would advise against it.. Judges tell if you say "Strictly Worse Cube" three times in a row,its cards appears in your next draft

I haven't played the game seriously since the first Mirrodin expansion, so I'm sure the game's mechanics left me behind in the dust years ago.

And the follow-up where they try to build a good cube. I just think it would be a blast to play.

Tonight is Magic night at the local nerd club. Working on a new deck based on using Jace's Erasure to mill everyone... Tefiri's Puzzle Box, Prosperity, there's merfolk that shuffle your hand and make you draw when the come into play, Wheel of Fortune, etc.
It's casual madness. If there isn't four players at the table then it's not worth playing... why have a fight when you can have a brawl?

If anyone wants to relive the old Microprose magic computer game, then I recommend searching the net for Forge which has pretty much every magic the gathering card available and you can deck build and take on the computer or multiple AIs in every game mode you can imagine. Also has a quest feature but no snazzy early 90s music or graphics

Updated my standard deck: deckstats.net/decks/92688/804879-judge-frollo-s-hellfireCompletely forgot that Eldritch Moon rotates out with Iaxalan because of the new 3 and 1 formula. Have to find a way to incorporate Liliana, the Last Hope. Either have to start a modern or perhaps a commander deck. Also going to the open house today.

I'd like to see a MTG game done in the same style as the Gwent game

Bad news: No one else was there for Open House. Good news: The owner gave me the promo for free. Picture doesn't do it justice. Beautiful card:

Someone tried to sell me their merfolk deck back in, like, 1996 for $40. Merfolk cards have gotten much better since then.

Magic the Gathering has a deckbuilding contest on Facebook right now.
Very happy with the deck I built. A pirate control deck with lots of treasure.

I started back during 4th edition. Don't even remember what set was current when I quit. I basically gave up because I had the worst drawing luck and it always seemed who ever spent the most money always won.

Cool deck, not sure how it will stand up to an aggro deck but I like the win condition of amassing lots of treasure

I've never played, but watched an interesting documentary about it on Netflix, and read an article on cracked about a guy that would make counterfeit cards. All very interesting. If you have the channel call TBD. They have a show where they have two people play magic and talk about the game itself.
