I've never really seen NAO as completely thrown together. They were both in the same position, with music themed gimmicks relying on a more established guy. Teaming them up seems fairly natural.

The Colossal Connection
Andre couldn't do much, but it was a nice way to end his in-ring career, and I always loved Haku because he's Haku.

MVP and Matt Hardy if only for the "Anything you can do..." angle that came with it.

Speaking of Rico, I loved him tagging with Charlie Haas.
A couple that haven't been mentioned yet: -RVD and Mysterio (would have gone far if Rob didn't get hurt) -Spike Dudley and the Big Show (seeing spike in a single strap singlet was funny)
Jericho and Edge were looking to end up as a tag team before Edge tore his Achilles, I think.

I have a couple that are questionable as to if they count, so this is more just to ask if they count.
-#DIY (Two indie guys who didn't really know each other _that_ well and had never teamed before brought in to be filler for the Dusty Tournament, ended up growing into being ridiculously over, over enough that it was the first betrayal in a long time that felt sincere)
-Awesome Truth (Stuck together with ADR for a Summerslam match, then went on a short lived rampage destroying everything that moved).
Do either of these count?

Money Inc. DiBiase's days as a top singles heel were over, and the novelty of IRS' gimmick was wearing off, and this team rejuvenated both of them. Too bad Kane's busy with politics and is pretty much done, I bet a tag team with him and Mike Kanellis would be very entertaining. Call them the Fire of Love.

Pretty much any tag team featuring Jericho, Cesaro, Kane, or Big Show ends up working out pretty well. ShowMiz was kinda lame though. I think Miz definitely wasn't on the same level he is now, and therefore not enough to make Big Show interesting. I would put Mysterio in that crowd, too. He's had teams with various levels of success teaming with Edge, Eddie, Batista, RVD (all four of whom he won the titles with), Sin Cara, Big Show, and several others in pretty much every promotion he's been in.

RVD and Kane. RVD was my favorite wrestler and my brothers favorite was Kane. So that was cool My favorite part of this was RVD giving Kane Hungry Hungry Hippos for Christmas

New Age Outlaws and New Day's names will be etched in tag team history for a long, long time.
The APA was kinda random as well.

It's funny you mention Jericho and Edge, because after Edge went out with injury that was why we got Jerishow. I think it worked so well that the plan for Cryme Tyme to get the titles at Summerslam was dropped and they let them hold the Unified titles for as long as they did. Until DXk09, of course.
