I can't respect the team of Cesaro and Sheamus enough recently for being somewhat of a Tag Team just thrown together randomly and really working hard to get themselves over and becoming a legit bad ass Tag Team.
I've been thinking of other teams that were seemingly thrown together randomly at first and took the ball and ran with it to become one of the best.
Another apart from Cesaro & Sheamus was Christian & Chris Jericho who I thought were a excellent tag team and when you listen to Edge & Christian's Pod of Awesomeness Christian puts that idea of teaming up with jericho down as saving his career at that time which is interesting.
Anyway what are your favourite Tag Teams that were pretty much thrown together due to lack of creative?

Miz and Morrison ended getting so much out of their tag team that its easy to forget they were originally just two heels on ECW that didn't like each other who won the tag belts to further the MVP/Matt Hardy story.
Heck, they only really around for about a year and half, and yet they still stand out as one of my favorite things from that period.

Daniel Bryan and Kane- The team helped elevate Bryan into the most over superstar in WWE at the time and was some of the best work Kane has done in his career.

I always liked Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio as a team too,
The 'I'm your Papi' T Shirt is a purchase I made.

The Acolytes. Totally out of nowhere pairing that ended up being a long lasting act.

Going way back, Bret and Niedhart were chucked together to give Bret something to do.

Edge and Hogan worked way better than it had any right being. They had no longevity, but it was so random and out of place that it worked.

I’ll always have fond memories of Al Snow’s quest to get Steve Blackman to show some personality.

Very few teams ever have been put together for any other reason than lack of creative for them as singles stars (even those who come in as friends or are related) but my pedantic pointless point aside, I think the Hart Foundation were just kinda thrown together coz they had nothing for either guy. I think they became brothers in law thereafter - but then my timeline may be off.

Unless you're like brothers or were trained together, most tag teams start out thrown together. That's even how the Midnight Express tag team started, with Bill Watts hiring Condrey and Eaton and giving them Cornette as a manager due to his territory having too few guys in their 20s, as per Lawler and Jerry Jarrett's suggestion I believe it was. They had both been singles guys before that, I think.
Big Show and Kane tend to work well for these. Booker T, too, really.
As for Sheamus and Cesaro, I did kinda like how their Best Of series ended in a draw and Foley making them become a tag team. The best of went on for ages and was pretty well hated by a lot of the forum at the time, but it definitely ended right, with an initially grudging tag team with face Cesaro and heel Sheamus, who sorta went tweener then face, before the two of them became heels and showcasing their aggressive sides.

There was no reason Too Cool + Rikishi should have worked.
But it did. And it was awesome.
I believe I've read that it was supposed to be a random one off thing that they decided to go with after the crowds first reaction? Anybody else hear this too or is my brain just making shit up as I go along?
