How about Meatloaf? He should have at least been nominated by now Wait, he's not in?!? Nope, I think he gets a lot of flack for not writing his own stuff, but that's just speculation

How many go in every year? My votes are for Bon Jovi, Moody Blues, Judas Priest and The Cars.

They've never even been nominated. And they came first. WHAAA????!! How the hell does two of the most iconic-sounding names in grunge not even get a shot? I assume Alice hypocritically has something to do with Layne but Soundgarden I have no clue. At least they didn't leap to Soundgarden this year like vultures, which is what I figured they'd do.

Considering the soul/R&B artists that were inducted in the first few years I've never got the "not rock n' roll!!" complaints for some of the artists in.
Anyways if I voted I would vote Depeche Mode, Judas Priest, Kate Bush, Rage Against the Machine, and Radiohead. Would have to seen The Smiths nominated again but they wouldn't have made it anyway.

Where the hell is Milli Vanilli on this list!?!?! They'll NEVER EVER BE INDUCTED INTO THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME, because they were caught lip-syncing and that cost them their best new artist Grammy.

LL Cool J does rock and roll? Check out his MTV unplugged performance from 1991.

Needless to say, I voted for the Moody Blues along with Depeche Mode, Judas Priest, Dire Straits, and Zombies.
And I REALLY hope Rage Against The Machine does not get in. Most overrated band in music history.

Not a bad list.
Also rap being included shouldn't be a big deal, I watched old mtv year in rock videos from like 1991 and there was some mention of rappers. Same with rock n jock, obviously not just rockers in the softball/basketball game.
I never listen to rap, but don't think it's bad they give the most well known rappers a nod.
Plus Madonna is in it, so yea.

LOL Rage Against the Machine going in to appeal to all those moody teenagers.
Do record sales account for a chunk of these people? I mean it seems like they really go for that mainstream appeal a lot of times over the bands who were more influential.
I'm amazed Faith No More has never been nominated.

"Hey guys, you tripped over yourselves to induct Nirvana and Pearl Jam. How about Soundgarden and Alice in Chains?" The HoF: It's easy to see why Pearl Jam got in right away because they are more prolific and Nirvana cause Cobain is a cultural icon, with AIC and Soundgarden it's probably too soon consider the backlog of bands who were around sometimes 20 years earlier still not in.

Weird Al snubbed again! >_> LOL Rage Against the Machine going in to appeal to all those moody teenagers. . A band that made famous one of the greatest guitar players of all time absolutely deserves to be in the hall of fame.
