So I guess they didn't go the "use his real sister" route?

I'm going to be honest, and I say this with love: Bray's stuff wouldn't look that out of place in Lucha Underground. It's not really inherently sillier than Pentagon fighting ninjas and fighting himself in a cave like he's Luke Skywalker. It's just really poorly integrated into the product, and actively undermined by WWE itself, like they can't commit to it. They think they can sit back and say, "Oh, this is dumb." You don't really get to do that when it's YOU doing it. Just commit, WWE. You want to have a little Memphis or Kevin Sullivan? Do it and get your tongue out of your cheek, already. I disagree to a point. I do think the overall presentation of the character would work better in an environment like LU. But he'd still be the same mangled mess of a character with no defining point of reference to relate to. What exactly is he? Cult leader? Bayou voodoo priest? Demon lord? Something else? All the above? Who knows. There's nothing of real substance to explain what we're supposed to get out of him. He rambles about nothing in particular and even his feuds don't seem to have any real point. Presentation might not be such a big problem were he a better explained character. It's like they took every supernatural and spooky trope and shoved it into the Bray Wyatt box which in turn leads him to be everything and ultimately nothing all at once. I'll give you that, him being muddled isn't help matters. I don't mind the supernatural stuff given he's been doing that since day one, with the lights, etc, which is presented as his doing, not just production, but not having the cult handy hasn't helped, nor has it that one of the last times he bothered to explain a feud much was like, against Cena years ago. His goals tend to be too non-specific, which was less bothersome to me when he had the cult around because it could have just been expanding his reach during that. On his own, they do need to work on it.

When you hear the first chords of "Welcome to the Black Parade," "Time of Your Life," or "I Write Sins Not Tragedies."

When you're dealing with chair shrinkage on live TV. Holy crap, I didn't even noticed that they used a different friggin' rocking chair.

Hang on, I thought Orton killed Sister Abigail? Orton burned her corpse, but Wyatt recovered her ashes and had a bath with them to absorb her power. So, yeah, "technically" it makes sense that Abigail still lives inside Bray. ...now I pretend the WWE to go the extra mile and make Abigal hijack Bray's body to take his place forever.

I swear the WWE really dropped the ball with Bray's potential. The man can work, is very athletic for his size, killer promo, and knows how to work a crowd. When he had his brief face turn fans were eating it up and they were hot for him. The WWE needs a new creative department, obviously one with true wrestling fans, because this Bray stuff is ridiculous.
I was visiting a friend at the Marriott Hotel and we were in the lobby watching Raw. Once it got to this segment I was like "what the hell is this?"

When you are watching a movie you've seen already, then you watch it with friends and you plan on spoiling the ending for everybody. That's a dick move. Spoilers are genuinely evil. That and wasting other people's time.

But then he might have been more popular than Roman Reigns, and we can't have that.

When you hear the first chords of "Welcome to the Black Parade," When you're a young boy and your father takes you into the city to see a marching band, and he says, "Son, when you grow up Would you be the savior of the broken The beaten and the damned?" and then he says, "Will you defeat them Your demons, and all the non-believers The plans that they have made?" "Because one day I'll leave you A phantom to lead you in the summer To join the black parade."

The lone belly gut laughter by one dude at like 2:30 and then at 3:00 summed up basically... the universal reaction for this.

Id forgive all of this if they somehow use Welcome to the Black Parade for Bray "It's not a phase, mom" Wyatt.

So I suppose this is Wyatt's counter to Finn's demon character. Will Abigail be wrestling the demon? Are we supposed to cheer for implied male on female violence now? I feel bad for any parents that have to explain this shit to their kids.
