fightnetwork.com/law/law-update/Will return with “new format”. Uh oh. That doesn’t sound good. Anthem making some changes. I blame TNA for this somehow. f*** that owl!

I can sort of understand taking him off the radio show, but remove him from the actually company and his real tv stuff? The man just had a baby. Dude, I’m so bummed. If they could keep going somewhere else, i’d actually join a paywall like mlw or WON to listen to the Law crew (including Wai, Nate, Brian etc).

What the hell is going on, John and wai have been my favorite podcasters for the last 4 years and I listen to every law podcast. This really sucks

This is the worst. The LAW family of podcasts was literally like half of my podcast listening. Ugh.

Love John and Wai's shows. Shoutout to Nate too. I can't find anything from Wai or Nate about being there or not still. Hopefully they end up on MLW or PodCast One so I can continue listening to them.
Jason Agnew said on twitter he's not with LAW anymore either I see. Can't find anything from Dan Lovranski.

John was an actual employee of Fight Network, whereas the others were more free-agents who would do the show/podcasts but had other main gigs.
I'm speculating from the tweets I've been seeing that John was laid off by Anthem, and since he was basically the guy who ran the ship for the LAW and the podcasts the other hosts followed him out the door.
I hope John and Wai find another home for their podcasts as they have always been a great listen. Really sucks to have this show go out with a whimper.

This is what Meltzer has written on the Observer site.
'Very sorry to report that Live Audio Wrestling has been canceled and John Pollock and Jason Agnew were let go by The Fight Network. It's sad that the Impact acquisition has devastated Anthem's television network, first losing Robin Black and now Pollock, who is the total real deal as a reporter. I've been doing that show every weekend for 19 years and have enjoyed it greatly. John, Jason and Dan Lovranski have been great to work with and I wish the best to all of them.'

Finding it hard to express how upsetting I'm finding this. I first found the podcasts from this forum about 4 years ago. Since then it was been my Monday and Tuesday podcast without fail. I've gone back to listen every Review a wai episode. I would go as far as to say that the podcast, along with this forum, is what's kept me tethered to wrestling.
Genuinely feeling quite emotional.

I mean, is there a LAW/Review-a-Wai/anything without John Pollock? I mean, I know the radio show existed long before anything else but, wow, Pollock's the guy that's kept it a thing. Review-a-Wai and the like are just fantastic podcasts even if you've fallen outta love with the actual wrestling product. Really look forward to whatever's he is gonna do next, he is sure as hell bringing the audience with him anyways.

Honestly, if this is a case like last time they lost radio, I'm hoping MLW or Jericho picks up the LAW shows. It could potentially grow their audience as well.

Yeah, this is completely on the TNA acquisition eating up most of their money. Rumors are the debt they took on was well into 8 figures, plus whatever they paid Dixie and the expenses since then.
Anyway, this is from Dave Scherer at PWInsider: Note from Scherer: If you enjoyed the old format of the show, from what I have heard you probably won't like the new version if it becomes what I have told it will be. More on my hotline tomorrow.

I just saw Pollocks tweet, this is devestating. I've listened to this for years and relied on John for my main source of news for years

I expect a Bauer and Pollock episode to be updated on the MLW feed or something sooner than later.

I’ve listened to The LAW since I was a kid.
This is really upsetting. I’ve met everybody on a number of occasions and we have mutual friends. They’re generally a really decent group of guys.
And that’s to say nothing of their work. The Review shows are consistently entertaining and John Pollock is one of the hardest working guys in the business.
This is a terribly shortsighted move by Anthem.

I had no idea they had so many other listeners here. Why did we not have a thread?

I had no idea they had so many other listeners here. Why did we not have a thread? Because we are all too shy and humble. Tna has become a hungry monster of misery now destroying more things I like
