When I was very young, we received a mix of different territories and promotions on cable. A lot of AWA, some NWA and WWF, and a little of promotions from far off places like Georgia and Texas. Probably some of whatever The Sheik's promotion in Detroit was called, and The Crusher's promotion out of Indiana as well. I was too young to understand all the different companies, so I mostly became a fan of guys I would see often. They included Jimmy Snuka, Tito Santana, Jerry Blackwell, and The Masked Superstar.
I became a full-fledged fan after watching Wrestlemania 3, with the Steamboat-Savage match in particular completely blowing my mind. My immediate favorites coming out of that event were
Steamboat Santana (still) The Can-Am Connection

I started watching in the early Ruthless Aggression Era, and remember instantly latching on to Eddie, Austin, Lita and Jeff.

I started watching when I was 10 back in early 1987. At the time I was also interested in reptiles so when I found out there was a wrestler who carried around a 20 foot snake it was not surprising that Jake Roberts quickly became my favorite. I also loved the way he talked. It seemed like he was the only wrestler who didn't need to scream into the camera to get his point across.

Eddie, Jericho, Benoit, Raven, and Nash were the first guys who stood out to me as a kid, even if they were heels. Hell when I got WCW vs NWO Jericho was my go to guy in a match.

It is going to sound insane but i HATED the Million Dollar Man as a kid as his skits using people so I was a huge fan of Virgil...His million dollar title win was a Rocky Balboa moment for me then as I got older I was a Razor and Hart fan but I had a crazy love for Hakushi and painted my upper torso with Kanji for Halloween at 11 in 95

I liked the typical 80s faces Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Ricky Steamboat.
After Undertaker turned face the first time, there was no looking back for me. I also really liked Macho Man after he and Elizabeth reunited (loved to hate him before then).
I was a big fan of Demolition and LOD too!

Piper was the WWF guy who blew me away when I first watched, Hart Foundation and Rockers were great too, and loved Andre and Haku, but Piper was the man, still is even now.
Although if we're talking pre-WWF fandom, then I saw Finlay in the UK as a really young kid, master villain that he was, so I guess he was first.
