The Movie will be the last installment. I have a feeling that is it for the Simpsons. They had a great run, end it with one of the biggest films of the year.

Could be a mix of all three.
Or they reveal where Springfield really is.

I'd like to see how the movie turns out, seeing as they'll have done everything there is to do over the past twenty years.

I always figured it would end with a running gag of some sort... Like, they all go to watch TV, cue intro style run into the living room, and nothing... That's right, with all of the intro gags, they just flop onto the couch to watch TV... Homer turns on the TV and that cheesy FOX promo starts "This Sunday on FOX!, The Bransons!" Homer groans loudly "This show's still on?!" cut to end credits...

I also agree that the movie will be the end.
And if they want to get emotional, they could have Grampa die.

I honestly don't think they will end until Matt Groening dies, which will obviously never happen.

I always assumed it would be the movie as well. But it's still making money and still going pretty strong.... it's just not very funny anymore.

Short list of things that need to happen:
- They reveal where Springfield is. - Smithers officially comes out of the closet (they've yet to flat out say he's gay) and he finally runs off with Mr. Burns. - Or Mr. Burns dies. - Maggie speaks again - Sideshow Bob vs Sideshow Mel!!! - Mr. Burns remembers Homer's name. - Feel free to add some more.

No problem with syndication now or after the Simpsons finally reaches its end. It has so many episodes that its syndication gold.

Bart goes to Highschool (hehe, would be interesting).

We see enough of Homer's ass. And unless it's got a face drawn on it and it's immitating Mr. Burns, we don't want any!

Simpsons is signed on to the 2007-08 season which would include the 400th episode, and the 20 year aniversary of the Simpsons, if anytime would be a good time to end it, it would be then. Plus with the Simpsons movie in between this season and the last, plus it makes more sence to end the simpsons in the tv show, instead of the movie.
