Like how the acknowledge the creepy sculpture from the Barbie episode.
I remember in the build up to Wrestlemania XX with The Rock mocking Randy Orton for having a “My Pretty Pony” when he was a kid.

if you can’t see that it’s a tweet from Zack Ryder saying he was interviewed for the wrestling episode but it was cut out. Not sure, but I think WWE might have had it pulled. Although WWE owned footage was shown throughout the episode.
Also did I miss it.. or did they not put a name graphic for Cody?

Saw the TMNT episode so far... didn't know about Chuck Lorre (so is he part of why they had to change the theme for the Arcade 1UP version of the Konami game?).
And is it me or did someone do a fake Viacom logo that combined the 1990 version with the font of the current company logo?

Just finished the TMNT episode, and once again David Wise is lying his ass off about Turtles. He still claims to this day that he is responsible for the unique personalities of the Turtles, which is hogwash. By the time he was assigned to work on the cartoon, Eastman and Laird had published the first six issues plus the 4 one-shots. Covered in those were:
- Leonardo is the dedicated leader - Donatello is the tech guy - Raphael is the hothead outsider - Michelangelo is the peaceful hippy
All things Wise takes credit for. Screw that guy.

Watched all of season 3 today. Loved to see someone agrees with me that the LJN WWF figures were crap. They were not action figures they were hard rubber statues.
TMNT,Power Ranger and Wrestling episodes were pretty good. The MLP episode failed to keep my attention. But MLP is a franchise that some of the more toxic members of that fandom have colored my perception of the toys/cartoons/whatever.

WWF LJN figs were great for if you got in a fight with your friends and needed a weapon ;-)
And I just learned that TTTMU swiped this for the aforementioned Viacom logo:
(this is a Closing Logo Group'er, who made his own "what if the current logo used the 1990 animation and music"? video)

He-Man figures worked well too, especially if you wanted masked wrestlers (Skeletor, Zodac, and Stratos worked well for that purpose).

So what toy lines are left they can do?
The big ones they haven’t covered I guess are Cabbage Patch Kids, Pokémon (Toys not the games of course), Matchbox and/or HotWheels type toy cars, MicroMachines, the Funko range, Pound Puppies, and Care Bears.
Guess they could cover board games, tabletop miniature games, and hobby like stuff (model cars, airplanes and train sets).
They tend to go for stuff they can amass large collections. So big selling one off Toys like the Rubik’s Cube, Tickle Me Elmo and Furbys (well probably not enough to cover an episode anyway... unless they do mini episodes.. which would be cool.. cover the toys that don’t have enough material to fill out a full episode)

I could see one on Voltron and if they want to delve into board games, then Monopoly, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Candyland, and Dungeons and Dragons.

The wrestling episode was really pretty bad. Unless you wanted an incomplete rundown of which company made the toys. Then, it’s amazing.

The wrestling episode was really pretty bad. Unless you wanted an incomplete rundown of which company made the toys. Then, it’s amazing. The same could be said about the Power Rangers episode as well, which focused more on the actual show history (and a terrible revisionist version of it that over-glorified Saban) than the actual toys themselves. They ignored the Fisher Price releases, barely spoke on the Legacy Anniversary series (aside from talking about the gold-plated versions of the toys), and didn't even show any of the (MUCH higher quality) Hasbro toys, instead focusing more on the acquisition of the franchise from the company and throwing Disney completely under the bus, as if the toys weren't terrible until they went out of the hands of Saban and went under the umbrella of the Mouse (the toys went to shit quick after Turbo, not four years later). After the disappointing episodes of He-Man and GI Joe from previous seasons, this season kinda made me realize this whole docuseries is kinda crap. Sure, they don't have many other places to tread when it comes to toy history, but the format is either too short for them to get any decent information, or they're leaning to bias into revisionist periods for all mediums that it leaves important key points out altogether.

I took some to school once and they got all marked up. I was so mad. 30 years later and I'm still mad about it.
