I might go TO the Rumble... so I am looking for suggestions from all of YOU, for what might be things to do on my Philly bucket-list, so to speak... Royal Rumble weekend.

Rocky steps Pats Genos Liberty bell Where they make the cream cheese In the parking lot where the stadium is is a cool bars/restaurant thing that has some good old school video games street fighter and mortal kombat I think. I forget the name of it but there is also a good market near there.

Avoid the playground in West Philadelphia. Guys there are up to no good.

Do NOT go to Pat's or Geno's. Overpriced and overrated tourist traps. Almost any hole in the wall pizza joint in South Philly will have a much better cheese steak for much less.

A steak made of cheese? How absurd! Yet, I'm intrigued...

Bundle up, it'll be cold af that weekend.
Forget Pats & Geno's, for my money, the best cheese steak is Jim's down on South Street. Line moves fast, and they load you up on everything you request.
If you love history like I do, you will find tons of it in Philly. Check out the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, or any of the numerous houses and landmarks still standing. Don't do a tour, explore it on your own.
Check out Redding Underground Market for some good eats
Throw on a pair of dirty, smelly workout clothes and run up the Rocky Steps, right after posing with the statue at the bottom, of course.

I don't care what anybody says, Carmen's at Reading Terminal Market makes the best Cheesesteak in Philly. If you insist on getting yours in South Philly then Tony Luke's on East Oregon Street is the way to go. As has already been said, Pat's and Geno's are sad relics living off of reputation, and while Jim's is cool (and I'd recommend a stroll down South Street in general, weather permitting), I think Tony Luke's is better tasting over-all.

I forget the name of it but there is also a good market near there. Speaking of bars with video games in Philly I would highly recommend Barcade which is f***ing awesome.

If you want more pro wrestling, other than Takeover, there's Beyond Wrestling at the CHIKARA Wrestle Factory on the Saturday afternoon.

Reading Terminal Market is glorious; I used to live four blocks from there and not only is it an amazing place to do your grocery shopping, it's got some fabulous diners and sandwich shops. If you like good espresso, head to Elixr. If you like good drip coffee, go to Greenstreet. Avoid La Colombe; it's overrated.

Also, I work at two bars in the city. McGlinchey's on 15th st between Locust and Spruce, and Bob and Barbara's on 15th and South. Sometimes I'm good for a drink.
