Goto is why I don't have faith in Gedo over Naito. There seems to be a real "Okada above all" philosophy from what I'm seeing, which if you're an Okada guy is fine but he's already done it all. Give someone else a go, Okada still has 7-8 years to go before he's even starting to get old. It made no sense to take the belt off that soon

Really good, but not in the next tier in the way Okada, Naito and the others are. And that's not a commentary on the booking, it's a commentary on Goto. He doesn't have that extra gear or star aura.

Hell when Naito lost the belt I went to bed early I thought to myself no way he would lose the belt that early.
How wrong I was

Oh I know, I'm more referring to how Goto's overall presence and aura is currently one of "even when he wins he's a loser" and how he doesn't really feel as credible as he could/should. I know he's no main eventer but he doesn't really feel like a B+ guy, despite having a singles title and beating Suzuki at WK he feels below Ishii in credibility. And I'm just concerned that Goto's repeated choking and slide down the card could happen to Naito.

Really like SANADA's gear. Still not 100% sold on him like I am for Naito and EVIL though. Plus I can barely remember his match with Okada an the g1.

SANADA's absolutely a star and I think has a higher ceiling than EVIL, but I just don't think it's his time yet. It'd be reminiscent of Okada beating Tanahashi if he did win, but it'd be too soon, for me.

Of course Naito winning would've done that as well...

Crowd is super hot. But is that for SANADA winning or just for Okada losing? Hard to say even with the chants.
