I wonder how she'll feel about "And then next month, you lose in 10 seconds to an armbar and make maybe 1/60th of her salary whlie you do it". We'll see if that unlikely scenario actually happens. Hate to tell you this, but with the money they're shelling out on Rousey, they ain't bringing her in to put ANYBODY over. She's female Brock. She'll come every couple months, and squash whoever she works with, and MMA fans will see it and go "Man, guess she really COULDN'T hack it, she's fake fighting now?"

She's from "the outside", so she'll be given the world, despite having done nothing for it.

Asuka has never lost a match since signing with WWE. She has to lose sometime. That sometime being to THE MOST FAMOUS FEMALE ATHLETE IN THE WORLD is pretty fitting. Guranteed- Asuka was thinking too much about all the money her and Rousey are going to make together, not one single second about her “moment” being ruined. Also, it was not ruined, it was enhanced. She looked even cooler and more badass. She ain’t give a damn about a Rousey. I sometimes wonder if people watch the same thing as me.

After sleeping on it and thinking about it a while, my reaction is basically this:
I don't have a problem with WWE signing Ronda, and I don't have a problem with Ronda wanting to partake in WWE. I do have a problem with Ronda getting pushed to the front of the division ahead of pretty much every other woman because she's a celebrity. You wanna' do some big match with a part-timer, like the rumored mixed tag against Trips and Steph? Fine. But Ronda's done nothing to actually earn getting a title shot and presumable win at the biggest show of the year, ahead of Becky, Bayley, Sasha or any of the other women who've busted their asses for years. She needs to prove herself as being adept at some aspect of pro wrestling - matches, promos, character-work, whatever - before I'll accept her being a champion in WWE, simple as that.

HHH creeping is phenomenal. No photoshop required. The pic itself can't be topped.

But I'd bet cold hard cash that her pay's so high none of the other women could see it with a telescope.

So is she showing up tomorrow night to go after Charlotte? Or does Full Time mean “full time”?

So is she showing up tomorrow night to go after Charlotte? Or does Full Time mean “full time”? She's most likely already back in Columbia filming her latest movie, which is scheduled to film through April. I wouldn't be expecting much from her in terms of regular TV appearances until after 'Mania.

I am fine with her showing up at the Rumble because I have always been in the mindset of rewarding fans who paid (via network subscription) with these big debuts. The timing of her debut wasn't great but it could be worse.

If she can't talk or act, they're screwed, she's doomed, and the whole thing was an enormous mistake. It's not like WWE has access to anyone with any experience, or skill, at portraying an advocate for a character similar to Rousey. She can talk and act, check out some of her trash talk for UFC. She's got personality and charisma in spades. I think people are more referring to the movies she was in where most would describe her acting as wooden and wood would be like, hey don't be mean. The thing is though, we've seen what happens these days when WWE brings a name from outside and it's not good. The women's division has had to work damn hard for any sense of legitimacy and while it's not perfect they're improving all the time. If Ronda is booked the way most outsiders are, this has the potential to set the Women's division back a long way. For someone like me who's be pushing for a better women's division for almost 20 years this is a scary. I genuinely hope she does a good job and she doesn't just run roughshod over everyone and make them look bad. Raw's had enough of that the past couple years.

If there was such thing as a "Pro Wrestling Entry Draft". Rousey would be hands down the 1st overall pick for any promotion. Of course, there are always busts. But you don't pass on a talent like Rousey. It would be like passing on Lebron or Sidney Crosby. Well not exactly. It'd be more like if you passed on one of the top NFL guys for a Rugby draft. The sports have some similarities but they're not the same thing.

Her promo's will be fine if they let her go off script and be herself,if they force her into reciting these monologues that make everyone sound like a robotic non human then she will be be garbage like a lot of the roster because she is not a good/trained actor.

I dunno if Nia and Nikki's tweets are works or shoots, but they come off so unprofessional and like petulant children. She's a big name and a very deserving competitor won the Rumble which showcased female stars old and new in a positive light, get f'n over it. I can't imagine Miz tweeting on the road to WrestleMania 27: "guess I'll just let a movie star steal the spotlight while I'm champion."

No, but they made an entire angle around it for that WrestleMania. Which is why it’s probably a work.

I can't imagine Miz tweeting on the road to WrestleMania 27: "guess I'll just let a movie star steal the spotlight while I'm champion." Nia's played fast and loose with her views on social media before, and Nikki's more or less untouchable and has always had a bit of a queen bee personality, so I can easily believe that they're venting their very real frustrations. Then again, I can also see them both being in work mode. Nia is very likely to be putting Ronda over in the coming months, and I'm sure Vince is salivating at the thought of Nikki vs. Ronda.
