So, you want to know why people questioned James Storm for taking a six figure Impact deal over a Performance Center/NXT deal that paid significantly less?

I dunno, there's gotta be some Canadian rock star into wrestling that Anthem can exploit. How's Chad Kroeger been with his money? He lives in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap We'll all stay skinny 'cause we just won't eat

At this point I can run TNA better than them Even with "Family History" I think I'd be a better option

I know sports and entertainment are a different kinda job, but...my bills come every month. I'm not taking or staying at a job that literally takes longer than that to pay me. And if you take indy bookings in the meantime to make up the difference? You STILL have to pay THEM 10%.
I'm officially done with this company being a thing. They aren't doing right by the wrestlers. Die already.

Callis got fired because he only made himself look good not the wrestlers he managed. He also was in ecw for just two years. Then I applaud him for finding a job out of wrestling, but that meant he couldn't make a good living in wrestling. He was also in WWE for just two years. So that's at least 50/50. In terms of making a living, he made a good enough living to get a college degree while on the indies post-ECW. Regardless of his successes or non-successes, what about his life and career to this stage qualifies him to be at the tiller of any wrestling company on national television, especially one that requires some serious skill and kid gloves to a) make it function at all effectively and b) do so with negative goodwill outside of a few diehards who at this stage would find a way to present TNA being responsible for actual genocide as a good thing. He's got some very close friends in the business but he's known as a worker and one who has rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way. The name 'Virus' was a rib on how people viewed him. That's not a positive if you're going to try and save the titanic. I genuinely feel that because he has a popular podcast, seems likeable and balanced on that and is linked (for his horrible commentary) with NJPW which obviously is riding a huge wave of popular among hardcore (as in big fans, not necessarily ECW hardcore) wrestling fans, people want to believe he'll be effective but are overlooking the fact he doesn't seem qualified, other than being less 'Comical Ali' in his spin so far, and was seemingly appointed in an attempt to get someone a)known in wrestling to deflect heat off Nordholm, b) Canadian to reduce travel costs and visa issues and c) popular so a good smokescreen for issues that just aren't going away. Now none of that is a knock on Callis personally, it's just the situation as I see it. He's been given a pretty great opportunity on paper but the company is so broken he could end up taking heat in the end for problems not of his own making, and could well be in over his head.

His run in the wwe could've been...wait for it...GLORIOUS. Now he's probably wrestling for minimum wage and the promoter is Alabama Doink. Pssst, he’s booked for various shows in the UK including ICW, arguably the biggest in the country. I know we have narratives to keep up with (like the really bizarre “How dare Storm take the money he was payed in full on time by TNA over a lesser NXT contract?!” one) but, you know, some of this stuff isn’t that hard to find. On this...I don’t know, to point the finger at one person seems bizarre to me because it’d be like blaming Jason Rubin for what happened with THQ even though he was the boss in its last years. Sure, there were problems but expecting him to be the guy to turn around systemeteic problems in the organisation for YEARS is ridiculous (and also Rubin was there to try and right the ship for a acquisition that never happened but anyway). That’s not to justify the bad stuff going on there right now but if people expected a company henmoraging money and to have problems paying people on time to suddenly turn around because of new bosses...well, I don’t know what to tell you. That isn’t how this stuff works. And are we really doing the thing where we just slag the people on top as un-credible hacks when we all know that D’Amore can go back to booking his successful indie fed and Callis regularly goes back to NJPW so would have no problems if Anthem decides to fire them both? Come on.

Come on. Re Callis and D'Amore It's not that people feel they're hacks (certainly not what I see) or that they'll be ruined by this, but more they're in a role that don't suit their skill sets. Get D'Amore on creative. Get Callis on screen or as a commentator, or even talent liason which someone mentioned to me he does for NJPW, but not as execs. They're not at fault for TNA being broken but unless they have some incredible ability, they're not going to fix it either and being prominent, they're going to bear the brunt of the flack that comes from it. Noone can fix TNA, I think we can all agree on that, so why 2 guys with no experience in the roles they're in are supposed to be able to do that is beyond me. They get booted/TNA finally bites it? They're safe, but it's apparent they are currently in over their heads.

BREAKING NEWS Scott Stapp to become majority shareholder in Impact Wrestling If he buys in after he saw what they did to Corgan, then he really has created his own prison.

Some of you guys get way too competitive about this stuff. I don't see any fault in people waiting until something like this is actually reported before pretending it's happening anyways. I completely understand the cynicism obviously, but the contentiousness doesn't seem necessary. I like Callis and D'amore so I was hopeful that things would be handled differently but I guess old habits die hard. Not that I know that they have anything to do with this or anything but this doesn't look good for their new run anyways. So, you want to know why people questioned James Storm for taking a six figure Impact deal over a Performance Center/NXT deal that paid significantly less? Still don't really get it. He doesn't seem bothered by the decision so I don't know why I should be.

I don't think it's unfair anymore to want this company to die. Less negligent companies have.

I don't think it's unfair anymore to want this company to die. Less negligent companies have. I've hit the point where I'm utterly convinced that TNA only still exists because somebody on the chain of command is laundering money through it somehow. That's like...the only reasonable explanation.

Payroll cannot be that high. Wonder if this is just some strategy to save money for taping costs?
