How many had one of these as a kid? And I doubt they still make them anymore

![](https://i2.wp.com/blog.eil.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/MJThriller.jpg?resize=450%2C338) This was my favorite one, but I had quite a few Viewmaster discs.

Wouldn't think Viewmasters would be a thing any more

I had one, although the only disks I can clearly remember having was from The Real Ghostbusters. Really wish I still had it.

It was a good thing the discs were so cheap. I think had a Batman 89 one or Batman returns

I had an old one. It had a few movie sets in the can it came in with it. The Black Hole, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea and the King Kong remake.

Had one. With three A-Team discs, a wonderful part of my childhood.

I did, but have absolutely no recollection of what my slides contained.

What a great toy. Imagination and visual appeal colliding.

I know they still make them, but they're VERY different from what they once were. I believe they use your phone now and it's marketed as pseudo-VR. Not too sure, but I know I've seen new products with the Viewmaster name at Toys R Us in the last few months.

Yeah, it was Mickey Mouse-themed. It came with a reel of him winning an award or something.

I remember my grandparents getting me lots of viewmaster reels from national parks and stuff like that. They would go on vacation to them and back then lots of giftshops sold viewmaster reels. I remember there being a Rock City AR set that had some really good pseudo 3D effects.

I had The Real Ghostbusters (Boogieman episode), Inspector Gadget, Garfield, Transformers, Incredible Hulk (cartoon or comics, not the live action show), and some sort of Disneyland set.
I recently bought a set of Marvel ones from the 70s in this big canister (Spider-man, Captain America, Iron-man, etc). They come with these little discs that appear to be records that you also insert so that it talks. It comes with a special View Master to play them on but it's broke.

I had one, and had tons of discs for it. My two favorites though were my KISS one and my Empire Strikes Back one.

The only one I remember was the Mickey Mouse Fantasia disc.
