Laith reminded me of Leslie Knope playing dressing up and pretending to be a wrestler. I wasn't her biggest fan from my limited experience to her.
I thought Beckett could have been decent; but again very limited exposure to her.

Making room for ADR on the payroll, I guess.......... Not really. The 2 most important words in HR are "legally defensible". If WWE has done their due diligence and can justify the releases it really doesn't matter if more women than men get fired. Social media - which is currently smashing Jon Favreau for being named the writer of the new Star Wars TV series b/c it was announced on Intl Womens day - doesn't care about HR or legally defensible or any logical things. The headlines will definitely write themselves and 90% of everyone will just stop there, ignore the articles and just start yelling until something offends them tomorrow. Scrolling about twitter's Jon Favreau trend I see infinitely more people mad that people are saying it than are actually saying it, which leads me to believe that there's a few people who made some comments everyone else is trying to amplify and make seem bigger so they can be the ones who get offended by that fact. I really don't see what measure of value there is in jumping ahead of something to be pre-emptively offended by the idea someone is going to be offended by something they haven't been offended by yet.

Problems with SEVEN different roommates and refusing to take advice from the company.
There's no way someone doing that is a delight with everyone else.
WWE for its numerous faults has made great strides to improve the locker room and make it less of a bearpit, the last thing you want is someone from the generation supposed to benefit from that screwing it up.
It sucks in that I liked her work and wanted to see more from her on this stage but yeah, can't fault WWE in the slightest here.
Could even spin it as improving the workplace for the other women she worked with.

Shame that things didn’t work out for Laith, but if she has allegedly had this attitude problem and she wasn’t taking the steps to rectify that, then WWE aren’t obligated to keep her around.

Despite being a fan of her work, she always seemed like a questionable person.

why is this casey michael person frothing at the mouth personally insulted at Laith because she got released He's the guy that runs squared circle sirens and tends to have a ton of info when it comes to womens wrestling especially the NXT ones, apparently Meltzer gets news from him. So he has sources somewhere in the company, safe to say someone has told him unflattering things about Laith. Very cool of him to use this information to make vague allusions to people's bad character and condescending comments about their fans.

Yeah, she looks pretty weird. I saw a couple of her matches as "Kimber Lee" and thought she was kind of cute. When she showed up on the MYC as Abbey Laith, she looked completely haggard and I didn't even realize it was the same person at first.
Me pointing this out isn't me being a "misogynist" or "sexist". It's no different than pointing out Jinders bacne, Scott Steiners odd-looking chest, Romans belly etc. The fact that she's a woman, doesn't omit her from having her appearance judged.

I honestly agree that she's not the prettiest. I looked her up and thought she was one of those longtime indy stars in her late 30s finally getting her big break but then realised she's literally my age. But, the problem I have with what that dude said was the "no big loss" thing... like the only thing she should be evaluated on is her looks. Now, I don't even know who she is, or if she's a good wrestler, and it's rumored from what I'm picking up on here that she's an a-hole, but to judge somebody solely on her OR his looks is f***ing bullshit. I could say the same thing about AJ Styles (he's so f***ing short), Kevin Owens (short and fat), Kofi Kingston (can someone say bird chest?), Pete Dunne (short and chunky and those f***ing acne scars), but they all have their own positive qualities. Saying it's no loss that somebody got fired just because her looks is f***ing shitty.... and yes, it's ESPECIALLY shitty to say that about a woman, given the fact that we rather recently had the Johnny Ace bikini model era featuring shit like Sexy Star allegedly getting passed for being "fat" and not pretty enough without the mask.

Either the WWE really really likes Nixon Newell or Abby Laith is an asshole..if you believe Casey's story. I don’t know about WWE but I really like Nixon Newell!

"On International Women's Day, Disgusting Misogynist Vince McMahon goes on a Female Firing Spree" The headline writes itself. Everyday is “national something day”, no one gives a shit about that.

Very cool of him to use this information to make vague allusions to people's bad character and condescending comments about their fans. I don't see how he could have been more direct about Laith without just saying she is a bitch. He detailed her issues, most that have been rumors for months though I do understand not everyone followed that stuff, and point blank said that got her fired. As for the stuff on her fans, have you seen how people take to the female talent? Someone sent a bomb threat to WWE for fitting Mickie James years back, another guy stalking one was shot and killed outside the PC three years ago, and reporters have gone into detail about the abuse and threats they've gotten from fans for covering stories on female wrestlers. If this guy is catching even a fifth of the blowback that people like Dave Meltzer or Mike Johnson have, this is an act of mercy.

Weird. She must've had some sort of attitude problem. She got pimped decently hard during the MYC I would even go so far as saying had she not been in backstage drama Sarah Logan would still be in developmental and she would have been in that Riot Squad call up.

So, Abbey is a B?
Joking aside, I don’t know the first thing about this girl. Too bad she lost her gig, though.
