Problems with SEVEN different roommates and refusing to take advice from the company. There's no way someone doing that is a delight with everyone else. WWE for its numerous faults has made great strides to improve the locker room and make it less of a bearpit, the last thing you want is someone from the generation supposed to benefit from that screwing it up. It sucks in that I liked her work and wanted to see more from her on this stage but yeah, can't fault WWE in the slightest here. Could even spin it as improving the workplace for the other women she worked with. Maybe she snores

On the one hand, I'm super-disappointed.
On the other hand, I'm glad to have the mystery solved of why she wasn't featured despite her skill and experience, and I'm relieved the problem wasn't her looks.

I'm honestly more saddened that they released Sage Beckett.
I thought she had more upside, even if they just used her as a manager or something.

"On International Women's Day, Disgusting Misogynist Vince McMahon goes on a Female Firing Spree" The headline writes itself. Everyday is “national something day”, no one gives a shit about that. ...yeah we do

Somehow, Aliyah is still employed.
And why do some guys on this site have so many problems with women? Every thread about a woman has to be turned into a topic about her looks.

Wrestling is a looks based industry, yes. And people frequently get their physique commented on or critised, that's part of it for sure, but when you're first response to seeing someone lose their job is to go "Their odd looking anyway, so eh" I'm sorry, but that's just shitty. And i'd say that regardless of who gets fired. Can’t disagree. I think saying she didn’t have a look that WWE was probably looking for might be fair. That could’ve been what they meant to post but it didn’t come off that way. People can only go by what’s posted. Some people often look for the worst in posts anyway so I’m not surprised by the reaction. She’s a good wrestler. When she was Princess Kimberlee in CHIKARA she had a great gimmick that little girls loved. Then she started covering herself up with a lot of tattoos and it took away from the Princess image a bit. No offense, but you don’t see Snow White or Cinderella covered in ink. Heidi Lovelace / Ruby Riot looks great with her ink. She’s a punk rock chick that kicks butt. Her look makes sense. It’s identifiable and relatable. I’m not sure what kind of character Abbey Laith was supposed to be. We didn’t really see her enough to be able to tell either. I can’t say I’m surprised she got cut because if her image confused me I’m sure it threw off management too, but apparently her attitude was the reason she got let go. It’s surprising to read that she had a bunch of different roommates because no one could tolerate her and that she apparently thought she was above other people. You have to respect the people you’re working with and trusting each other’s bodies with even if you don’t like them for whatever reason. I guess she had trouble with that. Disappointing, but it is what it is.

It sucks that Laith didn't help Newell out with her injury, since they were roomates. After all this time, I had no idea until today.
Kudos to Kay Lee Ray, though. She should get signed for her generosity AND talent.

Going by 2nd hand info to add to the attitude issues, sounds like Abbey kind of marked out for herself and was bringing up her CHIKARA success as a reason why she was above other women in NXT. And apparently, she was stiffing people in training and on house shows.
Sounds like too much too fast to her on the indies

It wouldn't be a HUGE leap to assume that that probably inflated her ego quite a bit.

Well, that would also likely be a big problem if she thinks the indy success would come back, since Quackenbush is friendly with HHH and the PC (and would likely know what went on to get her fired.) Doubled since I'm hearing more whispers are coming out that Laith may have failed Wellness tests while she was there (and it'd be an example of the bubbling under "WWE doesn't announce Wellness violations for NXT/the Performance Center").

It's a shame if she had an attitude problem because her entire gimmick that got over in CHIKARA was being a role model to girls and handing out her Tiara to them to keep it safe like a Bret Hart. She's a great worker and on the Indies it seemed like everyone had nothing but good things to say about her, so this possibly being her end in WWE is sad, but I can't say she didnt help herself in the long run.
More than likely she'll be back in CHIKARA and get higher range bookings.
