The snap deaths probably hit people hardest when they don't know it'll get undone in the next movie. Next time around the gang will have Captain Marvel and she's super powerful. That's who Furry was contacting when he went to dust. I swear now...if Sam Jackson isn’t making the distress call dressed as a giant cat I’m gonna be pissed. No, it's actually this different version of Nick making his MCU debut:

Just got home from a midnight screening here in the UK.
Best Marvel film ever made, and arguably the best comic book adaptation / film I've ever seen. A non-stop action ride with a fantastic portrayal of Thanos. Brilliant.

I need a hug.
Seriously, even with the prospect of it being undone, that ending was a real slow knife wretch to the gut of just seeing people die in front of you, people you’ve followed for years. It’s...man.
Yeah, the portrayal of Thanos too was actually genuinely great. I’m genuinely glad they dropped the Lady Death aspect from Thanos.
Oh, the “Thanos will return” card got boos from the audience. He’s that much of a heel.

I read the spoilers because I was originally planning on taking my kiddos...now I'm not so sure. Just from reading the spoilers I think I'll be telling them that they have to wait for Netflix where we can start, stop and talk about it.
F*** I don't know if I can handle it my damn self.

I can see this being really, really divisive. It might not play very well onscreen compared to the comics. Let's be real here. In comics we all know they aren't killing off any of these major characters in a silly crossover series, so the reader keeps reading to see how they will retcon it. I guess the theory here is that people will be so upset by this that they'll be begging for it not to be true, but I can see a sizable amount of the audience being pissed at having their emotions played with to this degree.
If the characters killed on page 1 are true, those seem like some baffling choices. You've got guys who have other movies in the pipeline so it's not like anyone seriously thinks they're dead for good. As far as the kids aspect goes my son is also wanting to see it on Oaks Day when there is no school here (he just turned 6). It's not a hard conversation to have. Just tell your kids Thanos killed a bunch of the heroes for now, but that they'll be back in the next movie.
My dad took me to see stuff like Rambo and Robocop as a kid, haha. It's kind of weird that the things that bothered me the most were the graphic deaths of random bad guys, like the dude Rambo blows up with the arrow or the lackey heel in Robocop that crashes into the toxic waste barrel. Boddicker and Co. shooting the crap out of Murphy early in Robocop didn't bother me at all, probably because I figured it had to be done so he could come back as Robocop.

How might you imagine, if at all, the snap will effect the Netflix shows?

Also, on a happier note, Drax is the best.
Starlord: I have one question, Where’s Gamora? Iron Man: I have a better question, Who’s Gamora? Drax: I have a better question, Why’s Gamora?

How might you imagine, if at all, the snap will effect the Netflix shows? It won’t at all. They’ll just say the shows are still taking place Pre-IW. Agents of Shield on the other hand I’m sure tackles it head on if they get another season.

Season 6 of SHIELD could just have new director Daisy Johnson and whoever is left on Team SHIELD as the defactor protectors of Earth. That said, could you imagine how big of a pop if the stinger had Coulson showing up to call for Captain Marvel's help?

I bet "the cool idea" for Hawkeye in the next movie is that his entire family was wiped out with the fingersnap and he's out hunting for the one responsible. Not that cool of an idea, unless he starts shooting the infinity stones OUT of the gauntlet, but even that is ridiculous.
(For the record, I'm a big fan of Hawkeye. I miss Marvel Heroes, I used to love playing as him.)

That movie felt like watching Brock Lesnar murder everyone for over two hours, and not in a good way. It also felt like a huge trailer for the next movie.
Color me disappointed.

saw it last night, devastatingly good, havent looked at the spoilers yet. Edit: Full spoilers have apparently leaked. If true, the death list is (spoiler tagged just to make sure you're absolutely sure you want to see): {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Killed by Thanos directly: All Asgardians, Loki, Heimdall, Collector, Gamora (sacrificing "someone he loves" to acquire the Soul Stone). Killed in battle: Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, Corvus Glaive, Vision. Killed in the "finger snap": Black Panther, Bucky, Mantis, Drax, Spider-Man, Dr. Strange, Star-Lord, Maria Hill, Nick Fury. Post-credits scene: Fury is attempting to contact Captain Marvel as he dies. Accurate Id also like to add in the cameo of The Red Skull, that came right out of no where.

Longer Version: Infinity War is, ironically, too overpopulated and dense for it's own good. Unlike in Civil War, they don't quite pull off the task of juggling all these characters. Almost everyone feels short-changed, and everything races breathlessly ahead.
Now this was to be expected, but IW also fails on a dramatic Level. I'm a huge MCU fanboy, and I felt absolutely nothing during the big dramatic beats. After the finger snap, I shrugged and thought "see ya next year, folks". The only time the movie got to me was when it looked like Tony was done. Other than that, nothing.
The comedy works way better. I thoroughly enjoyed the banter between the characters, especially Thor/Guardians. Some good stuff there, although sometimes the change from grimdarkness to comedy was a bit jarring.
As for the action, meh. Big, loud CGI-fests, without either the kinetic energy of Winter Soldier/Civil War or the Kirbyesque vision of Thor Ragnarök. Kinda bizarre how the battle of Wakanda was basically the battle of Naboo all over again.
I actually liked the ending. Thanos basically does what he said he'd do. Seems ballsy, but with the sequel already being made, it doesn't mean that much.
Do I want to see next year's sequel? Sure. Does this movie live up the the hype and its predecessors? Nope.

OTOH, it both morbidly intrigues me and would be a shock to even my system knowing a whole fanbase's emotional spectrum was just messed with permanently.

It could also be the reason why Disney more or less ordered ABC not to cancel the show last season. Having the show end with the team saving the world and preventing Coulson's death, only to immediately have most of them get ashed makes for a much more buzzworthy finale than "we saved the day, but now we're fugitives again" ending that it otherwise would've been.

Having Quake be one of the few characters who wouldn't be turned to ashes would at least give her a reason to show up in Avengers 4, if the TV/Movie divide wasn't such a thing. Just explain that she's there to help save the day and that she has a personal stake in proceedings, given that she saw her friends essentially die. On another note, having Carol Danvers be treated (in all likelihood, given the post-credits) as the big damn hero who may help turn the tide is a major vindication of the character after all the crap that's happened to her in the comics.

Given that A4 looks to be picking up about five years after the end of IW (Cassie Lang has been recast from a 10 year-old actress to a 16 year-old) and Tony has been pictured in a SHIELD uniform it wouldn't even be a stretch to have Daisy be there with minimal backstory requirements. It's such a shame Ike kept hold of Marvel TV.
