Having Quake be one of the few characters who wouldn't be turned to ashes would at least give her a reason to show up in Avengers 4, if the TV/Movie divide wasn't such a thing. Just explain that she's there to help save the day and that she has a personal stake in proceedings, given that she saw her friends essentially die. Given that A4 looks to be picking up about five years after the end of IW (Cassie Lang has been recast from a 10 year-old actress to a 16 year-old) and Tony has been pictured in a SHIELD uniform it wouldn't even be a stretch to have Daisy be there with minimal backstory requirements. It's such a shame Ike kept hold of Marvel TV. When AoS ends can't they.....idk move those characters to the movies or something....

I wouldn't have a problem with the finger snap if it wasn't so utterly unbelievable in terms of some of those names killed. There are at least 3 names on that list that in no way, shape, or form are remotely going to stay dead, with a couple having already announced sequels.
I don't know what they can do about this really. Once you establish that everyone can come back from the dead, it becomes impossible to tell any sort of story with finality to it.

Almost all of the characters have crossed over into animated form and into the main comic universe, and the movies and TV shows do share a universe, even if the recognition of events is all one way. Plus Chloe Bennett and Charlie Cox have both said in the past that while their contracts are with Marvel Entertainment they can be called on by Marvel Studios when necessary, so I certainly wouldn't rule out any character from any of the TV shows appearing in a movie down the line, even if their past adventures aren't acknowledged.

Reading the body count it kind of really pisses me off that the movie side and TV side can’t cut the bullshit. The Avengers are going into Avengers 4 hilariously outgunned. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}It looks like Cap, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, War Machine,Falcon, Scarlet Witch, Groot, Rocket and Nebula are left standing. Maybe Wong, Shuri and some of the Wakandans. Captain Marvel has been called in. Falcon, Wanda and Groot all got ashed as well. Early rumours are Avengers 4 is going to be a loose adaptation of Avengers Forever, with Tony and Ant-Man recruiting Avengers from alternate timelines/dimensions. Whether it's to take on Thanos in the present or the past is anybody's guess. Did anything eventuate in regards to the fan theory of Drax's daughter being one of the Order? Nope. Drax's daughter isn't one of the Order.

It would have, but there's already a f***load of stuff crammed into the movie, so I don't see how they could've fit it in there and still done justice to it. If anything, I think the movie could've been better with an extra 20 minutes or so, to let everything breathe a little.

Are we supposed to believe that Valkyrie and Korg got off the ship before Thanos destroyed it?

I choose to think that Disney mandated for SHIELD to return for Season 5 so that they could set up a possible tie-in to Infinity War and Avengers 4.

Are we supposed to believe that Valkyrie and Korg got off the ship before Thanos destroyed it? Thor says Thanos killed half of his people, so I figure either Heimdall Bifrosted as many as possible away, escape pods, or Thor ordered Valkyrie to lead away as many as possible in Grandmaster's orgy ship. Or all three.

I forget) said that the payoff to the Avengers finding out Coulson is still alive happens, so that would be nice.

They missed a prime chance of making the stinger to Infinity War a scene of Coulson making the call to Captain Marvel. (Though that might've spoiled his fate on AoS)

(Though that might've spoiled his fate on AoS) To be fair I expected that stinger at the end of Captain Marvel so it wouldn’t have been ruined. The heroes beaten and not sure of what step to take next...how do you beat the unbeatable? How do you bring back the dead? All of a sudden a Quinjet lands and they expect to see Fury walk out not knowing what happened to him. You see someone walking down the ramp and the shock on everyone’s faces when they see him. It’s time to call Carol home. I’m not completely unsure that still doesn’t happen. If Coulson survives both AoS season finale and the fingersnap...he’s could be the only person left alive on Earth that Carol knows. I can’t just see her showing back up solo...hey new guys, fill me in!

While it would force the movies to acknowledge AOS exists/existed, looking at the cast list Coulson and Fury are the only two links between that time period and the present, and dead-with-an-asterisk is better than crumbled-into-ashes-dead.

Some quick thoughts.
I noticed something weird during the Wakanda fight. Proxima is going up against Okoye when Black Widow appears behind her, and they start to fight. And then Okoye goes out of her way to run around to Widow's side to literally fight side by side with her. Why not just keep attacking their opponent from opposite sides?
Loved the Red Skull appearance. At first I was like "That voice sounds kinda familiar, I better remember to check the credits"
Early on in the movie I liked that they mentioned Thanos potentially wiping out half of the universe with a snap of his fingers, in a "Yeah, that's a cute setup if it turns out they'll go with that in the end" but around the sixth time they brought it up, it felt more like the filmmakers were saying "Hey, morons, get it? Get it?!"
I wasn't much of a fan of Thanos getting almost all of the stones by basically sheer force. Where's the clever manipulator from Thanos Quest? Couldn't he at least have gotten the Reality stone from the Collector by some trickery?
Having Hulk be so traumatized by getting beat up that he refuses to appear was pretty interesting. Can't recall if that's ever been done in the comics before.
Peter Dinklage's expression after pointing out the definition of being killed was one of the most Dinklage things ever.

Same feeling I had watching Lesnar beat Undertaker. Everyone silent in the theater for 5mins, you would have honestly heard a pin drop. Never read the comics, none of my 11 friends who went with me knew anything. We lost our minds, I couldnt say a word after.
This is what Empire strikes back probably felt like. I don´t compare the quality but the ending.
THANOS WAS FREAKIN PERFECT. SO MANY LAYERS!!!
I have to think about this for a couple of days to judge it properly, but I NEVER saw a movie that gave me this cinema experience. Thank you Disney, Marvel and everyone. Will never forget this one. I honestly hope that my child asks me in 20 years if I saw this in the cinema, just like I asked my dad for Empire.

Going to leave to see the movie in a bit.
Although one thing that does really, really bug me with this going into it is... Yeah, the finger snap is just way too blatantly going to be completely undone. And they really can't even pretend it's actually going to stick because right around the time 4 comes out they're going to have to start promoting the next Spider-Man out a couple months later. Kind of simultaneously making it pointless by not killing any of the core group and making it kill way too many big names for it to be at all believable.

Just got back and I thought was incredible. Some heartbreaking moments and a villain who was truly terrifying. The theatre was in complete silence at the end.
I think over analysing who got melted and who didn't really does the film a disservice. It was a war movie where the heroes lost and it delivered emotional moments in spades.
There are little things I could complain about, and some choices I would question, but nothing to touch the feeling tension, unease and helplessness I felt. But with just that little bit of hope given by Dr. Strange and the post credits makes it all a little better.

I bet "the cool idea" for Hawkeye in the next movie is that his entire family was wiped out with the fingersnap and he's out hunting for the one responsible. Not that cool of an idea, unless he starts shooting the infinity stones OUT of the gauntlet, but even that is ridiculous. (For the record, I'm a big fan of Hawkeye. I miss Marvel Heroes, I used to love playing as him.) It seems likely to me. I think they're going to merge his turn as a reckless nutcase with a death wish in volume 3 of The Ultimates with his becoming Ronin in 616. Probably spends Avengers 4 rediscovering his sanity. As for other wonders I have, I'm very curious about the timeline of Ant-Man & The Wasp. It seems awfully weird that it wouldn't deal with fingersnap fallout unless it's set beforehand.
