I still don't really buy Strange with the 14 million scenarios and the only one that works is 1 thing. Logical explanation: 14 million of anything is ultimately microscopic in the grand design of the Marvel "infinite realities" lore. Strange is still somewhat new to his own powers, and likely when traveling through realities, traveled through closely-linked ones in which the differences were minor. Had he kept going, he likely would have found just as many realities where Thanos arrived to find Earth taken over by Ultrons. Probably there's some "Golden Ending" scenario where they got out relatively unscathed, but after 14 million losses he latched onto the first one he found where they even remotely won. Hell, there is no way there wasn't a scenario where Thor went for the head.

I dunno, he seemed like he was in a big hurry to put distance between them even with all 6 stones

I thought Thanos said you should have gone for the hand. I thought he said “you should have gone for the head”. No, he did say that. But when I first saw it, I actually thought he said should've have gone for the hand.

So this week, it'll pass $2 billion worldwide and should eclipse Titanic for fourth place domestically by next weekend. Expect another angry James Cameron communique soon.

I'm thinking about pre-ordering digital. I've found keys for 12.95 from resellers.

So is there any other way this is going to end besides "Hulk gets angrier than ever and smashes stuff good"? I liked seeing Thanos as his physical superior but they probably kept him alive for a big crowd pleaser scene where he snaps out of it and saves the day.

Ah yes, James Cameron who re-released a romance movie in 3D just to milk more money from it at the box office. But yeah, let's bash Marvel for making fun event movies for families.

One can only hope that Avengers 4 unseats Avatar, the most undeserved highest grossing film of all-time. It won't. Avatar simply made too much money. I just hate that James Cameron can pretend it was the quality of the movie itself that earned it that spot. If Avatar had been released without the reintroduction of 3D, it wouldn't have even made $200 million.

It was released in December 2009 and was still taking in excess of a million dollars per week in April 2010, and didn't leave theatres until August. Without the 3D gimmick to drive sales and keep it hanging around for as long as it did (more or less as an glorified tech demo), I doubt it would've made a whole lot of profit. Also, I have my doubts that A4 even beats Infinity War.

But I really do want to see Titanic get unseated and maybe Avatar because I love seeing the unexpected happen. Records are meant to be broken.
