Did Corny ever share an epic rant about Ric Flair exposing the business by having the same match on TV every time out?

Did Corny ever share an epic rant about Ric Flair exposing the business by having the same match on TV every time out? I doubt it. If someone drew money in the NWA prior to 1987, you'll probably never hear Corny speak ill of them.

Jim Cornette booked an angle in Smoky Mountain where the Gangsta's won matches by 2 counts because of affirmative action and HEAVILY played on the "scary black men" tropes in a way that WWE would have been savaged for doing.
It rarely gets brought up in the modern day. Drives me wild.

Watching Bill Hicks and Lewis Black probably triggers your delicate sensibilities. Bill Hicks was the closest we'll ever get to a YouTube comment section in human form. Ummmmm..... No.

He’s a guy that makes me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan.

Jim Cornette regularly engages in the thing I hate most in the world: Casually threatening violence and grossly overinflating his ability to cause it. Like, I'm really impressed you were able to thwap some people with a tennis racket thirty years ago while fleeing an arena surrounded by giant wrestlers and security gym but maybe you should watch how you talk about how many wrestlers would have beat up so and so. Overall, anytime anybody talks like they've definitely kick the crap out of someone with anyone fighting back it drives me crazy. Honestly I'm amazed that Cornette has gone all this time without someone punching his lights out.

From what I've heard, that "win on a 2-count" thing was just a joke made by either Wade Keller or Bruce Mitchell at the time and never actually happened.

Jim Cornette or Ole Anderson: Who is more of a curmudgeon? Oh Ole, no question. I dunno. I think, on the whole, Ole probably IS the more misanthropic, but he's also mostly content to just mind his own and not really have much at all to do with wrestling in the modern day. Corny actively makes money off of "I don't like the thing lots of people like".

Some stuff I agree with, some I don't. Some stuff is entertaining, some is really obnoxious. Mixed bag. He clearly plays up the 'Angry Jim' thing though.

Other than the fans... you listen to some of the classic Mid-South stories about the fans attacking Corny and the Midnights. The other day I found the one about Corny and the Midnights being restrained by the cops because a fan jumped Eaton and the cops didn't see it.

I feel like those "Islamophobic" accusations have a HUGE amount of spin to them, as Corny is quite vocal about having the same feelings about ANY form of religion, not Islam specifically. That's about all I can get into without venturing into politics and religion. . It's not spin when he's dropping specifically racial slurs throughout it. Yeah, not to get into the nitty gritty of it, but there's a big difference with regards to addressing specific disagreements he might have with one particular subgroup's outlook on things and the broader, sweeping, generally more harmful stuff he went on about there. Wasn't great, and I couldn't really support the guy afterward. I think he's a great wrestling historian, is pretty great at diagnosing what's wrong or what's missing from a given wrestling show/angle/match, but that rant was really a bridge too far.

The dead rat story is the one of the funniest wrestling stories I've ever heard.

Something that needs to be kept in mind regarding Ole: Dude was busting his ass running a top promotion when his partners sold out on him, leaving him to go work for another business partner and watching that guy set ablaze everything the two had worked on together in a cocaine-fueled quest to go Hollywood and then selling off to a behemoth faceless corporation that treated him like crap personally and the business as a whole likewise...I'd say Ole has some pretty valid sentiments in some regards.

Oh, yeah, dude's attitude is absolutely valid, if I'd gotten f***ed like he got f***ed, I'd probably be a bit of a miserable prick, too.
