Being there live for that segment was the absolute worst. Everyone around me had their phones out, including the production staff that was sitting in front of me and my friend, and it was almost silent except for a select few guys trying to get a CM Punk or Rusev Day chant going.

How's the social media response? Any backlash? Twitter consensus seems to be "early Gooker favorite".

I can honestly say I didn't see anyone enjoy that segment other than a few people getting a chuckle out of the blonde sister somehow managing to keep her wig on

Remember how much more awkward everything was before cellphones? Anyone now can just look at their phone and text/pretend to be texting or doing something. You just had to soak stuff in back then while you waited for your onion belt to dry.

I'm still very confused about what this was supposed to be. Like, why not make it funny? Dudes in drag can be funny - look at Bobby Heenan trying to sneak into Raw. That shit was hilarious. What in the world was this? I don't understand why Bobby's sisters matter, what Bobby's character is, why Sami cares, or how this was supposed to build heat. On paper, it sucks. In practice, it sucks even harder.
Everyone is worse off now.

Comparing one of the all time greatest at comedy in pro wrestling Bobby Heenan with 3 random extras they made dress as women will always reflect poorly on the ones not named Bobby Heenan.I’m guessing they thought this was funny I can picture Vince now “Men dressed as women?....HILARIOUS.....LAUGH DAMMIT!!!”.Comedy is hard you need good material and you need talented people to deliver that material wwe doesn’t have the greatest track record with that.

I was appalled Lashley beat up three defenseless women.

I love analyzing stupid shit even if no one including those who make it care so just bear with me: Sami Zayn went through the trouble of hiring actors to play the role of Lashley's sisters and to also help him assault Lashley. Lashley ... wasn't angry or bothered by it at all. Yet he still bothers to come out and shows he's not bothered by high-fiving depressed fans at ringside. He plays along with the ruse knowing all four guys are going to eventually gang up on him, but it doesn't matter because he knows he can handle them anyway because he's Bobby Lashley. He just wanted to teach Sammi a lesson, even though he doesn't really care. Brilliant. What came off as relatively intriguing was that Bobby didn't seem to care about this elaborate personal attack on his family, but he got ultra offended when Sami called him garbage. Now that's fighting words.

Yeah I’m going to stick with NJPW for the foreseeable future. Already canceled the Network after WWE’s awful response to the criticisms over the GRR and this transphobic garbage pushes it over the edge. It’s 2018 and the heroic face beating up people in drag is super uncomfortable.

Sami...it's time for you to go looking for El Generico and the orphans in Tijuana.
I'm not joking.

I've never been happier to miss anything ever. I'm annoyed and disappointed, but not at all shocked. Same here. I read about this elsewhere and was glad missed it and confused (it didn't mention anything about guys playing the sisters). After reading about it here I am even happier I decided to watch Family Feud. Seems like whichever you chose, you'd end up watching Family Feud.

I kinda hope Vince keeps pushing shit like this on TV, because eventually something like this is going to air on SD, and it's hopefully going to bring a lot of unwanted attention and heat onto the WWE being on a much bigger stage than USA.

The problem with even saying that is that this is worse than the others. With Old Day, or Bayley: This Is Your Life to this segment is impossible, because it's like comparing (for classic TV crap) "Star Wars Holiday Special" to "Heil, Honey, I'm Home!" With the first part- it was bad. But with Old Day or Bayley: This is Your Life, it was at least POSSIBLE it could have been good. If the writing was better, if Gallows and Anderson or Alexa Bliss were a bit more charismatic, if the performance was better- MAYBE they could have worked. The premise of this segment was "Bobby Lashley claims he loves his family. Sami Zayn says 'Oh really? I bet that you DON'T love your family and I want to prove it!" This segment may have been bad- but even if they got his real-life sisters to play the role, it would have sucked...hell, even if it was 1985 Roddy Piper doing it to 2000 The Rock, in a segment written by Chris Kreski, with booking by Paul Heyman...this segment STILL WOULD HAVE BEEN TERRIBLE, because the very PREMISE of this segment and this storyline was inherently horrible in such a way that it could not be anything BUT terrible.

C’mon, was this really “transphobic?” Jesus, people here love to be offended. This was just horribly lame and unfunny.
Okay, I skipped through 95 percent of it, but from what I saw, they weren’t even acting like ladies. It was just crap.
