I look back on some guys in both wwf and wcw and wonder how they kept a job as long as they did guys like ice train and van hammer seemed to be around wcw forever.

Well Van Hammer was somewhat over at one point, Ice Train was fairly decent when he was paired up with Scott Norton, but I thought they ended that team too soon, IMO.

I've always wondered this about the Harris brothers. They where not great workers. They where not good talkers or ever that over. They managed to get work at every major wrestling company in north america since they came around. I look back and go how?

Felt the same about Paul Roma and Tom Zenk...Really never saw a thing in them...Also I feel that Barry Windham was the greatest failure of potential maybe ever and was long involved in WCW well after he stopped caring...We all know why Eric Watts had a job but he also was a hard one to watch

I subscribe to the belief that WWE legit forgot JTG was in their employ.

I imagine that they considered Stevie (after 2004) a good hand that had little ego and would make his opponents look good.

I think JTG's selling of The Cobra got him at least six months added to his contract.

In some cases it's not what you know but who you know.

I think JTG's selling of The Cobra got him at least six months added to his contract. Actually, it's the exact opposite according to JTG. While the majority of people seemed to love it, higher management that didn't already care for him felt he was trying to get himself over and didn't use him again until he picked up his phone and got released.

Yep that famous Vince mantra of stop trying to get yourself over

They were part of the gang wars storyline in WWF and then were featured heavily in WCW, either chasing the tag belts or involved with main event storylines. They had a great look but no talent whatsoever.

I subscribe to the belief that WWE legit forgot JTG was in their employ. Given Yoshi Tatsu had to explain to Vince the reason he wasn’t on the show more often was because Vince had fired him, it’s possible.

They didn't? Both van Hammer and Ice Train were hired and fired multiple times between their debuts and the company's closure and most of the time they were under contract they were used as JTTS talent. Someone has to play that role, after all, there's not much more to it than that.
