I think WM30 coronated him as the guy and Summerslam 2014 cemented it. He hasn’t lost clean since (except maybe to Goldberg) and he won world titles in the last 2 wrestlemania while Roman has barely done shit

I remember a time not too long since, when people on this board were saying that they would welcome a champion that only appeared seldomly on regular TV, with the view to "making the belt mean something again".
All I can say is, be careful what you wish for...

The deranged thing is that most of the 2014 Lesnar push was purely to build him as a heel for Reigns to conquer on his way to the top. In fact most of what happened after that in 2016-17 is to build him up again to have Roman beat him, then they didn't even do it. At this point I have no idea where any of this is going. Raw especially is scorched earth.

The first person that pops up in my head is AJ Styles. In fact, I'm more critical about who becomes WWE champion than who is Universal champ.
A top guy to me isnt someone who has Paul Hey man do the same repetitive promo while he jiggles around in the ring, relies on pull apart brawls to hype a match and only puts on a decent match if its against a friend.
WWE can book Lesnar as some sort of god, but he will always be an after thought to me.

In the minority but I like Brock as the end boss. It makes it far more meaningful when he eventually loses. I have never been bothered by the part time full time debate.
The universal title shouldn’t exist though.

If he keeps steamrolling the likes of Reigns etc, when he does eventually lose, it'll be a massive deal to whomever the slayer is. Would I prefer to see him more? Only a little. His character, no matter how close to the real Brock it is, works for me, because as seldom seen as he is, it makes you take notice when he does appear. |

In fact, Lesnar has only been beaten clean four times in his entire WWE career, even when you go back to his initial debut in 2002. -Tapped out clean to Kurt Angle at Summerslam 2003 even with Vince McMahon helping him at ringside. -Lost to Goldberg on his way out of the company in their infamous Wrestlemania 20 match. -Lost to Cena clean at Extreme Rules 2012 after dominating Cena the entire match. -Got squashed by Goldberg because he was overconfident at Survivor Series 2016. You could argue there was a fifth time with his Triple H Wrestlemania 29 match, but’s hard for me to call it entirely clean since Shawn Michaels factored into the match early on and distracted Lesnar allowing Triple H to gain the upper hand at one point. The finish was certainly clean though. So four and a half maybe? Either way, my point is that he’s probably the most protected guy in the history of the company other than Hogan and possibly Andre (I’m open to other suggestions) and he’s clearly the most protected guy of this era. But I wouldn’t say he’s the "top guy" just because of his part-time status and the feeling that he’s leaving soon for the UFC. |

I don't get an End Boss vibe from Lesnar at all tbh, because that would imply that he actually has some sort of presence on the show. He's more like some dude that occasionally shows up for food and then leaves again.

Brock could have been the ultimate end boss but the WWE bungled that by having him beat everyone that matters and not building up anyone to be the one to beat him. At this point I figure that they’ll find a way to feed Daniel Bryan to him before the summer is out.

If Brock Lesnar is WWE's top guy, casual fans wouldn't really know, and would probably prefer to see him in something more "legit" like UFC.
