So I just watched Straight Outta Compton, and it made me think of other films about musicians i'd like to see. I think films about the following bands could be interesting: The Ramones Guns N Roses Sex Pistols Metallica Waylon Jennings Willie Nelson Kris Kristofferson Judas Priest Jimi Hendrix Eminem Public Enemy
All of these bands/artists had a lot of history that would work well for a film.

As a comedy, wouldn't the original fake story behind Fozzy be a great movie?

Black Sabbath, merely for the lineup clusterf*** dramas during Ozzy's initial departure (hello Dave Walker) until the full-fledged reunion....

I wouldn't mind a completely fabricated Weird Al bio pic.
EDIT: Which is apparently already sort of a thing with a mockumentary The Compleat Al from 1985.

Milli Vanilli The Mamas & The Papas Both are fascinating stories about how terrible the music industry can be.

An Elvis biopic in the vein of Walk The Line would be greatly appreciated.

The Exploding Hearts -Really awesome punk/power pop band who sadly had 75% of it's member die in a car accident 15 years ago just a few weeks after their debut album dropped. Unfortunately the only Mainstream recognition they got was Pitchfork rankings this tune www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVu4Kkig1AM as one top songs of the decade back at the end of the Aughts Townes Van Zandt Sam Cooke The Slits Daniel Johnston Chet Baker Big Mama Thornton Nick Drake Esengul-Popular Turkish singer who died at age 24 in 1979,depending on who you believe she and her companion at the time died in a routine car accident or it was a mafia hit.Either way her life is rather fascinating and her music is still popular in much of that country today. A 32 Short Films about Glenn Gouldesque Mockumentary featuring everyone who has been a Drummer in Pearl Jam

I wouldn't mind a proper and a non-slanderous bio-pic of Michael Jackson's career and life. I know people will bring up "Jackson's The American Dream". But I want to see a sincere, realistic, heartfelt, and non-biased depiction of the man himself.

I second this. After seeing VladTV's interview with Fabrice Morvan last year, he told a lot of things that would make for a great biopic.

They were doing a Guns n' Roses one based off Marc Canters book "Reckless Road" they had cast Macaulay Culkin as Axl and basically the entire band and also some of the ex girlfriends of the band threatened to sue and the production got shut down.
A proper Bob Dylan one would be awesome, I appreciate Im Not There but...I want a proper bio film of him.

"Sid and Nancy" is a great watch just as an entertaining movie, but it's also amongst the most inaccurate biopics ever made. They got very, VERY little of the story right.
