I hope they deliver an amazing show and it can be something more for ROH in the NY market during non-Mania weekend time.

I went to see ROH 3 different times in 2010 at the Davis Arena, which is still OVW's stomping grounds here in Louisville. The first was in the summer and it was the Bluegrass Brawl (not sure if it was taped for DVD?) and the other times were in Dec. 2010 for a 2 night TV taping. The irony then is that ROH didn't even have TV in this area but did have it in Lexington, yet once Sinclair bought the company they have never been back but do in fact have local TV on WBNA-21. The problem I guess is the lack of a decent venue. The Louisville Gardens would be ideal for ROH right now, but it has been closed for years. Freedom Hall and the KFC Yum Center are both too big for a typical ROH show (both are 20,000 seat venues). That leaves Broadbent next door to Freedom Hall, which holds like 6,500 but frankly I think that building sucks. Still, I do wonder why ROH simply stopped coming here. Did Cornette sour them that much on the city in general?

Sigh, another amazing show that I'm probably not going to see unless I'm willing to go onto the secondary market. Just hasn't been a good year for me and wrestling shows.
Well, at least I won't have to spend money I don't have right now, and I can still go down for Spring Break 3 and whatever other indy shows pop up.

And it's already sold out.

I never gave much serious thought to actually to this one, especially once the VIP members started grabbing all the seats. That and I'm not sure who all will be there. I did want to go to All In though since that's an easier trip for me. The problem there was they did the on sale on Mother's Day right when I was out eating and not thinking about wrestling tickets.

Even if this is a financial loss, it's safe to say wrestling in general is the strongest it's been in 15-20 years.

I'm glad it sold out.
I realize this particular event is a big deal and happening during Mania weekend, but hopefully this leads to ROH running bigger venues in general and becoming more of a player.

Damn, I was at work and forgot about the sale. It's definitely going on PPV, right?

Damn, I was at work and forgot about the sale. It's definitely going on PPV, right? I think it's a lock they'll have this show on PPV. It's Wrestlemania Weekend. I still find it amazing that a company sold out the Garden that quickly 8 months in advance with no set card. It says a lot about how hungry the public is right now for New Japan Wrestling. What was the last time the E ran at the Garden and sold out the building?

Sight lines are great in MSG no matter where you sit. Yeah but the price of sitting where Ranger fans put their butts cuts into the value

After the Cody-Meltzer wager that spawned All In, it's kind of nice to see the original idea of "ROH can't draw 10,000" coming up shortly after. Like obviously the presence of New Japan guys will help make it a bigger deal and the timing for it is just perfect, but this is still a huge deal and it is really cool to see. ROH's product might not be all that inspiring to me right now, but more success in wrestling is never a bad thing.

Sold out? Hot damn!
Between this and All In can someone PLEASE rattle Vince's cage to force some quality into his work again?

When you put it in to perspective like that, it really is insane that little old ROH is running MSG.

Forbes is reporting that Vince won't be taking this lying down.
