Amazing how much can change in a couple of months. From speculated Omega vs Okada and Omega vs Ibushi, we go to White vs Naito. I would actually sell my tickets if I had some. It's White vs. NJ Cup winner. Probably not going to be Naito. Didnt he just come out of a press conference saying he hopes that Naito wins?

I think Okada and Ibushi have to be considered the favorites, and they likely want IC and Heavy in two different matches.

White played such a great heel against Juice in San Francisco this past summer, I'm dying to see him draw that kind of heat with a US crowd that could end up being nearly three times as large.

White wanting Naito to win makes sense for his character, as he has to feel pretty confident about his ability to beat anyone. Naito would be the final “pillar” of New Japan for White to defeat.

Given Naito's talk of wanting to be both IWGP and IC champion I think he'll be positioned to win the title at some point.

I regret buying these tickets every day. They haven't even announced one match yet, I think things will be just fine.

Other than the AEW guys who left, isn't the talent on the show basically going to be the same NJPW and ROH talent as was previously expected? I can see you being unhappy with who has the belt, but the same guys were going to be on the show regardless of which of them is wearing it when the show happens.

I liked that match other than the shittily booked ending sequence*. He played such a skeeze. *It's bad booking to be like "if he uses the cast, he's DQ'd!" but then have a shit load of sequences that should have resulted in a disqualification, and the cast does get used and isn't even part of the match ending. What...? I also don't think it did any favors to Juice that people kick out of his finisher so often. I could be asleep at home, pulled out of bed at 4 AM and hit with the Pulp Friction, and he'd still need two to put me away. That's at least a little better than Naito, who would need 2 Destinos and something reversed into a third.

Here's the dilemma. NJPW has several wrestlers worth paying to see for a premium price at MSG. ROH? Not so much once you take the Elite guys out of the mix. I think one problem with ROH is that the majority of their TV just doesn't seem to matter. There's occasionally a good match here and there but the presentation is blah.

If he hits it on the run/out of nowhere, then it's kickout time. Pulp Friction at least got put over nicely at WK, thinking that Juice's ROH will will likely be used in part to cement his rising status.

Taven is challenging Lethal at the ROH Anniversary show, so this show might include Lethal/Scurll or Taven/Scurll for the title instead.

Scurll challenging for the belt would easily be the biggest match ROH could do. I also wonder if RevPro could contribute, such as Suzuki/ZSJ defending the tag belts or ZSJ defending the British Heavyweight title or is RevPro doing their own WM weekend show?

Yeah, RevPro has a Friday show that will feature Ishii and PAC. I'm sure there will be other New Japan talent featured on that show as well.

Aside from the weekly show, even the Honor Club supercards have seemed pretty pointless too. And while we're on the subject of nothing seeming to matter, why are there like 4 guys with title shots, but Jay Lethal never defends against them?
