Rocky Balboa. Maybe it was seeing the character again after a long, long time, maybe it was Bill Conti's melancholy score, but when Rocky lost it in the meathouse, "She didn't leave me Paulie, she DIED!", I tore up as well. That is hands down my favorite Rocky movie, and one of my favorite overall movies ever. That scene, Paulie's admission to Rocky that Rocky treated her right and had the good memories, and Paulie treated her badly and only has the bad memories. And of course the ending, when he tells Adrian one last time, that they did it, and then fades away out of focus.

Don't remember crying over anything like that in a good while but teared up when Joel's daughter got shot and killed in the beginning of the Last of Us
That came from so far left that you just feel hurt

Rocky Balboa. Maybe it was seeing the character again after a long, long time, maybe it was Bill Conti's melancholy score, but when Rocky lost it in the meathouse, "She didn't leave me Paulie, she DIED!", I tore up as well. I recently saw Rocky 2 again, which has always been my favourite of the series. The ending has always been emotional to me, but this was probably the first time I've seen it through adult eyes. I had no idea how much Mickey actually loves Rocky, and it was nice to see things from that perspective. It's always the same, though; as soon as Adrienne says the word 'win' and the training montage music kicks in, I start to get a lump in my throat. Aye, watching Rocky 1 and 2 as an adult makes you appreciate it differently. What stood out for me in 2 was the scene where a recently fired Rocky is hitting the punching bag in his basement and a pregnant Adrian says she could get a job. His expression and punch in that moment conveyed so many emotions - a frustrated man who can't provide for his family, with a wife who's gone over his head and decided to work against her better health, but there's nothing he can do about it because she's right. So many iconic moments in this movie. The sweet, yet platatonic relationship with Little Marie, his relationship with his son, just living life post fame and without the love of his life.

The last 1-2 episodes of Nyan-Koi! Sorry, let me clarify. When we find out why Kanako was given the cat doll, and the last episode.

Last night, watching the first episode of the second season of Queer Eye's reboot. I was in f***ing bits, man. I'm not joking at all. Queer Eye might be my absolute favourite show right now. As terrible as things are in the world right now, to watch something so life-affirming and just full of joy is much needed. The episode you referenced with Tammye and her family was beautiful. We just watched the episode with Skyler, the trans man who had his top surgery. Man, to see him come to after his surgery and look down at himself and see, physically, the person he’s always been inside was truly moving and then to find out about the struggle he’s gone though and his financial commitments to make everything happen made it even more emotional. If people aren’t watching this show, they have to.

Probably The Royal Tenmanbaums.
”Are you gonna try and kill yourself again?”
”I don’t think so.”

Probably The Royal Tenmanbaums. ”Are you gonna try and kill yourself again?” ”I don’t think so.” "...I've had a rough year, Dad." "I know ya have, Chazzy."

Movies... First ten minutes of Up, plus the reveal of the book. The end of This is It with the prayer circle and Man in the Mirror.
Books... The end of Oddkins. Not a well known book, first read in 6th grade and I still keep a copy as a treasured favorite. Toy Story if it were awesome
Video Games... Life is Strange and Before the Storm. A tough choice in episode 3, The Moment in episode where I remember just bursting out loud while playing “Because I love you!” and the final choice. The final after credits moment in BtS. Have the tissue box ready for Captain Awesome when I finally play.

Finally gave The Walking Dead a second chance and actually liked it. Just got to the episode involving Lizzie and bawled like a baby this morning. I had to take a break from EVERYTHING for a short while after that.

Movie wise, Toy Story 3 may be the only movie that got me choked up at both the first and last 10 minutes.
Video games don't normally get me worked up, but the end of Red Dead Redemption did. I got so invested in John's story, so to see it end the way it did was a bit of a gut punch.

Red Dead Redemption's story is so good and it shows Rockstar can tell good stories. Just wish they did the same in GTA. For me it was the endings of the Home Alone movies when I was a kid. As an adult it has to be the Reaper Man book from the Discworld series, was choking back some hard sobs there by the end. BTW do songs count too? Because I recently listened to Pastoral by Moondog and felt so emotional by it, I just started crying.

Two books have nearly reduced me to tears - my eyes were certainly moist, anyway. The first was 'The Corner' by David Simon, about the real life Baltimore drug trade. During the epilogue it reports the death of a main character who could have had it all if he'd not become addicted. There were also tears of joy at the story of a young girl who was a 13 year old mother but still went on to make a decent life for herself. The second was a book called 'The Art of Racing in The Rain', which is about a dad's struggle with his in laws over custody of his daughter after his wife dies. However, it's all told from his dog's perspective. No spoilers, other than to say that the dog, Enzo, is quite old, and my own dog is now 13 and it just reminded me that he won't live forever. ☹️😥 Get the tissues ready if you read this book. I'm from the future...the latter became a movie. And yes, it's everything you say. Dwelled on it for a week after I saw it. (And now it just got released on DVD yesterday...)

Arthur's fate in RDR2 and anytime Togepi was upset in the Pokemon animated series (that one isn't a joke, by the way, I don't know why I can't see a fictional egg pokemon start to cry without getting upset myself??)

Everything.
I teared up watching Carlton OD on speed. I’ve seen that episode about 50 times.
