Finished episode 4 {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} I HATED them recycling the anti-Hispanic racists. We’ve already had that riveting piece of social commentary once in episode 1, so it felt completely unnecessary.
Their mom’s reason for leaving left a major sour taste in my mouth and made me quit for a night. I was expecting... something big? Definitely not “Yeah, I just didn’t want to be a mom anymore so I left.”
The finale in the church was actually good. The final decision was actually one I had to ponder. Turned out for the best (asked Daniel to move her)
OH, and one more thing. Finn is terrible. I don’t get why Sean’s remotely sentimental about him.
So another episode down. Started shitty, got better. I’ve completely given up on it nearing LiS heights, or hell even Before the Storm. I really have no clue where this is leading... so I guess that’s a good thing. One more to go.

My Sean called Finn selfish and told him he hopes Finn enjoys going to jail. My Sean definitely let it be known that he was missing Cassidy though.
Sean had been through so much stuff by the end that I just didn’t care what I did so I just had Sean shoot the minister.

Did yours say that when visiting him before escaping the hospital? I just left, didn’t give him the time of day.
Sean said “Sorry Finn...” when he first saw his picture, then “Finn was a real friend to Daniel.” when he saw his bracelet in the church. Fxxxing NO HE WASNT! He used your kid brother to rip off Merrill and ruin everyone’s lives even more!

You can either forgive him, (Which I refuse to do) tell him that an apology is too easy in which Finn responds by saying he’s hurt you feel that way but wants you to know that he really does care about you or you can call him selfish which is what I did. If you choose the selfish option Finn gets on his high horse and bitches that at least he tried to do something and was fighting for freedom, peace, love, etc. Sean basically tells him to f*** off and hopes he enjoys jail.
You’re right about the picture and bracelet thing though. Finn’s a piece of shit and Sean shouldn’t give a f*** about anything to do with him. I was more than happy to tell the detective that it was all Finn’s idea.

True, nothing happens in this episode, but I didn’t want to risk Sean saying something that would cause Finn to try to make a deal for a lesser sentence if he helps the police find Sean. I didn’t want to take any chances.
Of course, last time I really tried to play it safe, Daniel was afraid to use his power, and Chris got hit by a cop car, so who knows, I very well may have screwed myself over by not doing anything.

The final episode is out today... yay
I honestly don’t even remember how episode 4 ended. I just don’t care. The lengths between the games... the “road trip” moving from place to place... the need to bring “current events” into the storyline. (Could be done, if done well. Instead just feels shoehorned and cliche)
This game has been a failure in my eyes. I’ll finish it because I already bought it... but it feels like a chore.

I now remember what happened after reading the last page of this thread. Honestly didn’t remember a thing until I was refreshed.

I am going to miss these characters so much.
I am already second guessing if I made the correct final decision. I hope I get the chance to choose the other option.
I will say I had a harder time choosing than I did with Bay Vs. Bae. Because seriously, f*** that town.

I might pick the game up next time it's on sale now that it's actually finished, though really having a hard time even caring. Game really seems to just have absolutely nothing I liked about the first one.

Episode 5 MAJOR SPOILERS {Spoiler} Yeah, I simply straight up surrendered. Then Sean morphed into CM Punk when he was in prison. Lmao
Ending was good enough. I think I did the right thing.
If you would have told me DAVID FXXXING MADSEN would have been the best part of the whole game, I would have called you a liar. Loved seeing Chloe/Max continuity. Would have been interesting to see how the episode differentiated if I sacrificed Chloe in LiS1. Despite confirmation I murdered an entire city... I’m still okay with it.
Overall I think I shat on this game a little too much simply because it didn’t come close to my lofty LiS1 standards. That and the long wait time between the episodes. And the “current event/social commentary” nature of most episodes. When the game let you meet characters, it had its moments. 6.75 / 10

Joyce is on the phone instead of Chloe and the photograph changes from Max & Chloe to Chloe, David and Joyce. (Obviously taken before season 1’s events.)
My ending was different as I decided to cross the border. Since Daniel had high morality he decided to stay behind and surrender while making sure Sean got into Mexico. Game ended with Daniel living with the grandparents under house arrest while Sean is living in Mexico with Cassidy. (Or Finn if you romanced him or by yourself if you romanced no one.) This ending is also only set 6 years after the end of the main story instead of the 15 years with the jail ending. Was Lyla there when Sean got released in your game? She’ll be there if you called her in episodes 1 and 2.

I can’t wait to find out which one ending my brother got, because in his game Daniel had been disobeying his instructions as far back as Rules. Which is rather funny because in the first game, he managed to talk Kate down, where I didn’t. Completionists are going to have a lot of work to do to get all the endings, aren’t they? häšhtå.gdālėÿ {Spoiler}Did you find the letter from Victoria Chase in David’s trailer? With the time jump between all the endings, it would be very feasible for them to do a Before The Storm style game focused on Daniel set between the final decision and the ending. I would be all over that.

^^^ {Spoiler} I just found his CDs, the pictures, broken TV, food, Two Whales Diner framed picture, and something else I can’t remember (in a box below the scanner. Gonna have to go back and replay that section to see the letter. As you can imagine from my love of the first game I popped hard at the references and characters. <3

It reminds me of American Horror Story. It’s a reference that if you get it, great, but if you don’t, you’re not completely in the dark.

I think I finally found my problem with LiS 2, as gently as I can put it with the no politics rule.
It’s too real.
LiS and BTS had enough disconnect to make it relatable, but still a story. This? Aside from Daniel’s superpowers, this is really happening right now here. All the anger, mistrust, racism and hate. And I just cannot enjoy a game that literally is making me so angry, I’m yelling how much I want to do unspeakable things to pixels. No game should encourage that anger, it’s just unhealthy.
I get the point, but I just... with Max, Chloe and Rachel, it was just... different. Nothing personal, I just... the world is bad enough, why should our entertainment, our escapism, be reminding us of it?
