If you’ve never heard the “Run” version, keep it that way. Despite your warning, I'm morbidly curious. "Everybody Wants to Run the World" is a re-recording of the band's song "Everybody Wants to Rule the World". The reworked single was released in 1986 as the theme song for the Sport Aid campaign, a charitable event held to raise money for famine relief in Africa. The group did not attend the event, saying, "Geldof announced we were playing. He didn't ask us. I was pissed off. We went on holiday." It was a success in the UK Singles Chart, becoming the band's sixth top 5 hit, peaking at number 5 in June 1986. The song also reached number 4 in Ireland.

My first one was Now 44, which is the best-selling edition from what I've read. It had Baby One More Time and all the best 1999 cheesy pop. The creator was interviewed on the news tonight and they asked if he thought the franchise would make it to Now 200. He was kind of glum about it and said they'd be lucky to make it to Now 125 in the current music climate 😅 I’m not saying I know more than him but I think they’ll be around for quite a while yet. Now 95 was the best-selling album of 2016 in the UK, 90% of those sales were physical copies. And 2016 was a year when Adele released an album. Four of the top 10 best-sellers of 2017 were Now Albums too.

At least credit Wikipedia when you copy and paste from it!

There’s a lot more than two. There’s something like 25 different countries that have their versions of it. Wow. This is kinda blowing my mind. I didn't realize there was a Now multiverse. You don't even wanna know the Now multiverse counterparts from other companies.
