People always complain about long title reigns, but I usually like them (except for Brock’s current reign), which one was the best? I’m liking AJs reign rn, but I gotta say punk

He gets a lot of crap (rightly so) but I loved the JBL reign. He was never afraid to make himself look like a fool to get something over and I just really bought it.

Punk's.
He had multiple great opponents, dope matches and he did the face to heel turn which worked out well.

Punk, though AJ's hasn't been too bad.
Would have had Nakamura end it, but the feuds have generally been decent-to-good and the matches always deliver.

Definitely CM Punk. It was entertaining throughout and I wasn't ready for it to end when it did. Only bad thing was it's end point became obvious 6 months before it happened.

If we're only counting world titles it really depends on how you slice it.
I liked Brock's Cena-killer reign in 2014. If we are talking about non-world titles I would put Asuka ahead of it as well as Pete Dunne.

Punk's without question. The matches were mostly great.

Cena’s 06/07 reign was fantastic. It cemented him as someone who truly deserved to carry the company. He had some classics with HBK in England and the Umaga match at the Rumble that isn’t talked about enough, IMO.
AJ’s current one and Punk’s lengthy run would be right behind those

Cena's 06/07 reign. Won it in the TLC match with Edge, worked with a much different talent pool than say Punk, with defenses against Umaga, Lashley, Khali, as well as HBK and Orton. Really felt like the top guy, and had pretty good matches consistently, even with Khali. The Unforgiven DQ match with Orton was a miss but it was obviously to set up the bigger match that never got to happen do his injury ending the reign.
A proper ending to his title reign and it'd be no contest, imo.

I’m quite fond of Batista’s reign.

The front half of Punk's was a snore, but once he turned heel he was firing on all cylinders. They really need to do the same with AJ right now.

He gets a lot of crap (rightly so) but I loved the JBL reign. He was never afraid to make himself look like a fool to get something over and I just really bought it. Yeah but every single match he had was absolute shit. Just pure garbage. And does Christian count for his 204 day reign in ECW? I'm gonna count it anyways.

Punk, hands down. He'd finally been given the ball and was (mostly) allowed to run with it for quite awhile, though I still think they brought him back way too quickly after Money in the Back. Would've been like Sting disappearing after Fall Brawl 1996 only to come back and face Hogan the next month.

This is why people should never complain about short title reigns especially in WWE. NJPW or ROH can pull off a good one every now and then but most of these were awful.

Punk, for sure. His turn was awesome, loved his matches with Bryan before that.
Really enjoyed JBL’s character during his run, Cena’s 06/07 was great as well. I’m hoping they either end AJ’s at Summerslam or he turns after to extend his, but I’ve enjoyed it as well.

Batista did not have any good matches, but I loved how smart his character was. You had to cheat or be underhanded to get one over on him because he was booked to be a genuinely clever guy who did not fall for anything. He seemed like a true champion.
The JBL run is some revisionist history IMO. Really bad television.

Punk is rightfully winning, but Rollins had some solid stuff in his run, so I gave him my vote.
