I just learned something from the STWW podcast, Michael Hayes trained Ahmed Johnson, no wonder he sucked so much. Go to RSPW, ignore the trolling/joke posts that infest it now, and then look into the archives for old arena reports from the Sportatorium from the mid 90s, like 1994-95. The weird thing about all this is, there was a time Tony Norris/Moadib/Ahmed Johnson was considered one of the saving graces of the GWF or Dallas NWA. I guess you didn't have much to compare him to, but part of the fun of those old Dallas recaps was seeing everyone sing the praises of Ahmed and young JBL.

How about Gangrel? He wasn't much in the ring, laughable on the mic, and looked like a pudgy, middle-aged porn star, but he still had enough presence to come across as a memorable character. How about Kevin Thorn Gangrel had The Entrance.

How about Jimmy Valiant? Couldn't wrestle, stuck in purgatory feuding with the 80s equivalent of the Dungeon of Doom, but he just had it and JCP fans loved him.

I was thinking about Mabel.
Also Big Ryck/Ezekiel Jackson but maybe he was too good a promo to count.
How about Titus O'Neal?

Eugene.
Looking at him as generic Nick Dinsmore and then Eugene is like night and day charisma. Also, you must have some weird charisma if you get a special needs gimmick over.

I wish the folks at OSW would do a segment about Weird Charisma.

Gangrel had The Entrance. I would beg to differ and argue that Gangrel was, at one time, actually a pretty solid hand in the ring, though granted that may have only been when put with the right opponents.

And on the serious side-Brian Pullman toward the end of his career (and sadly, life). His ring work in his final few matches was total crud because of injuries and being wasted out of his mind 24/7. But he still had that insane charisma as this unpredictable crank case that he got over to the end.

I'm not sure it counts as only having weird charisma if you have a great look and can be interesting on the mic. WWF era pillman was a disappointing sequel, not like Shera, who was wrestling's answer to The Room, compellingly incompetent.

I wish the folks at OSW would do a segment about Weird Charisma. In a way that is 90% of their boy talk. We all got our boys and caileens and for whatever reason, my boys had a weird charisma to me.

This is worse than being a boy. There are boys who can cut promos and even wrestle. The weird charisma tier is for people who can’t cut promos or even wrestle but for some reason are always employed.

Mongo. He couldn’t wrestle. He couldn’t talk. Apparently he could only walk and look cool. Yet, I loved him as a Horseman. I'm still trying to figure out why I'm a fan of this guy.

Flair summed it up on his highspots shoot. "Forget his work, forget his promos. Mongo brought a persona" That...kind of sums it up if you've seen him

What about Crush?
Always marked for him...why? must of been the weird charisma as his matches were all the same and his promos were cheesy.

It's so hard to narrow this down because everyone or most everyone has a unique look, or body type, or something. Even Sandman had an awesome entrance and exceedingly violent act with the kendo sticks. Now, I look at maybe people like Sid, who were wildly popular and that weird charisma separated him from Dan Spivey or Big Cass. So, going by that, which is of course a little different than the original OP, I have to put in Miss Elizabeth as something with weird charisma.
