Oh, I'm not claiming sainthood. Nor am I saying the Blues are thugs, but the reality is that they've done shit like run over Rask on several occasions. You wanna stop being nailed by the whistle? Cut that kinda thing out My mistake. I totally agree with you there. We ran into Bishop I think twice as well. The goalie should never get hit, unless a defender knocks someone into them. And that hasn't been the case on any of our goalie hits. No worries. I mean, look...if the goalie strays out of the crease, they're supposed to be fair game but outside of that, I hate to see guys get steamrolled I'm curious to see how Bennington reacts. He looked completely shell shocked out there, and honestly that wasn't entirely on him.

And that hasn't been the case on any of our goalie hits. No worries.Β I mean, look...if the goalie strays out of the crease, they're supposed to be fair game but outside of that, I hate to see guys get steamrolled I'm curious to see how Bennington reacts. He looked completely shell shocked out there, and honestly that wasn't entirely on him.Β Binny was kinda bad, but our defense was horrible. It's happened a few times before, and he always comes back strong. We gave up 6 goals to Winnipeg and San Jose in the playoffs, as well as 5 to San Jose in another game. In the games following those, Binnington answered with three games where he had a 1.64 GAA and a .947 sv %. Edmundson is AHL level defender, Pietrangelo used to be an elite stay-at-home defenseman but now is obsessed with offense and makes tons of costly turnovers in transition. Dunn is sorely missed. Perron, in addition to taking tons of dumb penalties, made some really bad turnovers in the D zone as well. Not to mention Krug, Coyle, and Bergeron made some great plays. It's just one of those games where everything goes the wrong way. Which Boston has not had a lot of this postseason, probably since the Toronto series.

Great game. Very phsyical both ways, nothing crazy bad. Reminds me of mid-00s playoff hockey. We controlled the puck quite a bit, our cycle was working well, Binny looked fine after a bad game. We need Thomas back, and we need to sit Edmundson for Bortuzzo. Great night though. 3 game series.

Also worth mentioning, ROR had two goals tonight. He's a Selke candidate, and could have been a Hart candidate for how he carried this team at times (probably finished top 8). He was called a locker room cancer in Buffalo, but he's been amazing in every aspect here.

What a game for sure. I had confidence that would would bounce back after Saturday's game as I said, it was going to be a deep game series, so we are getting that. Very strong game, they played physical but stayed out of the Penalty box for the most part and killed all the ones they did have which was like 2 I think. You can tell Boston tried to draw more and play that game. The only grip is our PP is terrible. I agree that Joel should have sit, and not Bortz, because I thought Bortz has looked very good this playoff run. Sunny and Dunn made there present felt and I have been really impressed by Sanford game these 2 games.

NBC mentioned Barclay numerous times, and Sanford actually showed some fight because Bortuzzo wasn't pummeling him.

Tough loss. Hats definitely off to St Louis.
And while I'd rather NOT be tied 2-2, this series has been a blast and I fully expect this to go 7. There really is nothing better than playoff hockey

Is the time right for European head coach in the NHL? There's a lot of talk about Jukka Jalonen, who at 56 years of age has won basically everything in Europe, having just won his second World Championship with Finland. Is there any team willing to take the chance?

The Blues are one game away from wiping away over half a century of hurt and misery.
What a time to be alive.

Blues got away with a no call, just in case everyone was happy that justice was served when the Sharks got eliminated

So. Like I feel for Bruins fans. I totally get it, horrible calls there. That said OMFG we are ONE game away. SO frigging HAPPY! Even if my anxiety skyrocketed during the game. Sunday I might be chewing xanax.

I was at the viewing party at Enterprise Center and it was insane there and that's just fans watching the game on the jumbo tron. OK get horrible call, but there been a LOT of that this whole playoff series and playoffs in general so yes I do feel a little about that for Boston. But as a Blues diehard, I've waited my whole life to see the Stanley Cup for this team. With all the ups and down in my life time with this team and before I was born. All of this is been memorable. If we do this Sunday at home, it's going to bar non be the greatest moment in sports history in St. Louis and in my life. It's going to be bigger than any Cardinals World Series win lately. The wait as been long over due. One more game to win, I believe they can do it.

Bruins fans whining on social media is what fuels me.
Also lots of great footage of them fighting each other in the stands.

It was 1000% a trip. Tough no call from the officials. Been on the other end, it's not fun.

Thereβs about 20 penalties that go uncalled in every game, dozens of missed offsides and a few missed icings. For once a call didnβt go the Bruins way, Jeremy Jacobs will have a chat and game 6 will go the Bruins way.
