So apparently tonight in Brighton, Trent Seven defended the PROGRESS ATLAS belt against Zack Gibson. When was the last time this happened, not including belts they owned.

Wasn’t the EVOLVE and PROGRESS titles defended this year at Axxess?
I know it doesn’t technically count but they are kind of still WWE events.

He only had two WWE shows between winning and dropping the title, and was not announced as ECW champ during them.

This probably doesn't count, but I've seen OVW titles defended at WWE house shows

They should start defending non-wwe belts on raw to make up for the lack of Universal Championship.

Yeah, he just had one on Raw and the match with Triple-H on Smackdown where he lost, that was about it.

Inoki once defended the NWF title against the Iron Shiek (back when he was called the Great Hossein Arab). I think it was 1979, WWE now refer to this defence as the Japanese Heavyweight title.

Reminds me of when Konnan would defend the AAA America's Title on WCW shows. They would refer to it as the Mexican Heavyweight Title.

I don't know if he defended his title but the great Liechtenstein Heavyweight Champion Cedrick Von Haussen faced MVP on an episode of Smackdown one time.
